Rockcastle plays very hard. I'll root for them in every game except this one. I've watched both teams play and while Rock plays hard, Knox is bigger everywhere. Barger also gets to play offense again this week. Expect at least a score from him. If Knox comes to play, this game can be put away early. If not, it'll be a dog fight. 35-14 KC

I have said all year this would be the best Knox team since the 2010 team that lost the region championship to bell.
Knox has too much experience across the board for a young rock team to handle. Panthers line will be too much for rock to stop.

In all seriousness, this is a hard game to gauge for me. Knox appears to be very good. I mean, the Regional championship is not out of reach for them. They can pass, run, block, and tackle very well. This, of course, is in addition to Knox Central always being huge. I don't know what is in the water down in Knox County but it must be protein and milkshakes

Rock is greatly improved and regardless to the outcome of this game this has been a fantastic season to really show the talent of this YOUNG football team. I firmly believe that a potential 7-8 win season is not out of reach.

Come to think of it, if this Rock team beats Knox Central what chance does KC have next season when Rock's Freshman and Sophomore heavy team becomes Sophomores and Juniors? Yowzers!

With all of that said, Rock and Knox have had some great games over the years. I will never forget RockSolid69, myself, my wife, and another friend arriving way too early, sitting through a LONG rain delay, and watching a game that went into overtime.

Knox Central may be the game that I look forward to the most because the Panthers always give 100% every time they step onto the field against Rock. If they beat Rock by 30 you know they gave their best. If Rock beats them by 30 you know they did their best.

Let it be known that Knox Central will not lay down against you and they will not lay down for you. I greatly respect that.

I look for a hard fought game in Mt. Vernon on Friday. I expect Knox Central to win because they are the experienced team and they have been the favorite since the preseason to win this district. However, this is a MUCH different Rock team from last season. A lot of these Freshmen and Sophomores can really play and I think their spirit and fire has inspired the Juniors and Seniors to fight even harder.

My heart says Rock wins by 6 but my head says Knox Central wins by 14. My heart and head would agree if Rock wasn't decimated by injuries. There are so many players hurt for Rockcastle that it isn't even funny. They are not in as bad of shape, injury wise, as Clay County but there are a few key players that are difference-makers that will not take the field this week.

Regardless, I voted for Rock in the poll because I am a diehard fan and I do seriously think Rock has a punchers chance but it would be an upset if Knox Central didn't leave Mt. Vernon with a win.

If Knox plays Corbin it will be a 3 or 4 td game in my opinon.. I think people are sold a little too high on Knox... Why is that but everyone thinks Bell is down but Bell is their only loss? Just curious.

Knox and Corbin play on 31 oct. Corbin is the better team but I don't think they will win by that many points. Panthers defense is one of the better in the state. Corbin may win but it won't be more than 10-14 points.
