Lc made an ajustment brought in a bigger corner on justice left side and the dogs secondary just took over pike centrals passing game. Lc had a better chance to catch most of pcc passes than their recivers did. I was surprised at how small pcc looked compared to lc. Our safteys and corners looked bigger than some of their lineman. But congrats to pcc they play hard, swarm to the ball, they play the right way.
Lc continues to improve from last year the way I see it we have taken to steps forward and one step back .
We have beaten fairview, and pcc this season which we lost to last year, but got thumped by raceland who we beat last year. Have two steps left in the regular season. Go dawgs!!?

We have 2 threads on the Lawrence/Pike central going. Is it possible for a mod to combine? The LC defense and coaching staff earned much respect from me tonight. The 2nd half the secondary took away completely the PCC passing game. They were aided by an inspired defensive line that wreaked havoc on Justice. Crucial play of the game came with just over a minute to play and LC failed to convert a 3rd down on their 25/30 yard line. Their punter #24 went down with an injury and the coaching staff called a timeout before an official time out for injury. 24 was able to come back and make a decent punt that put pcc in desperation mode. The LC secondary took over from there. Chaffins, Richardson, Keesee, played lights out. Johnson and Ross played the best game yet on the defensive line. #24 at LB had numerous tackles. Very, very good defensive effort.

Good win for LC. But the score worries me. This is a PCC team that is 3 and 4. Still a solid win but the team seems to get a little over confident from some of these mediocre wins. Belfry is going to be bigger and stronger than anyone they have play to this point. LC has a huge drop in strength during the season because they completely drop the weight once the season begins.

I'm not over confident as I have said time and again. LC is a year or so away from really contending. And for this Defense to start playing better. But to think they don't have any chance at all. Let's just say I hope Belfry the team comes in over confident over LC.

:biglmao: Exactly! And where are the couple of LC fans who threw Coach Cecil and the rest of the coaches under the bus after the Raceland loss and SCHS win? They said we had no shot at winning, defense was pathetic, and all that. Not seeing much from them. Guess they are still drying out from the rainy weather last night. I'm sure they were the hardy fans who attended. nicker:

Want to talk about "classy"? You have been going after LC coaches a lot recently. Over on the baseball board you were blaming injuries on the LC baseball coaches who have a total of about 50 years between them in coaching. You act as if they don't know what to do, and you do. That they are the reason for injuries. Same with football. Come on, now that's "classy"! :worthy: Also funny how you add "won a game they should have won". Well, they won against SCHS, yet you poked at the negatives of that WIN.

Belfry fans remind me of Bell Co. fans. It isn't hard to act like you've won before. JC acts worse than both and won less than both. JC isn't even the best team in there county but still talk like state champions. I don't get it.
