Wrong, they'd play the winner of game of 2 v 3. Could be either district... Jim is right.

Harris will be fine, Pc, has best personel and will win. High scoring game.

Minus Damien, Madison Southern is a mediocre team at best. We forgot how to tackle and cover in the secondary...
Pulaski 48
Southern 21

Exactly teams west of 75 tend to get hosed east of 75!

Cannot wait to see this matchup Friday! I hope my Maroons are hungrier than ever. I think Damien WILL play, he has to be awfully excited to showcase himself on national tv, as he should be. Everyone wants to see HIM. I've heard no ligament tear, just a hyperextension of his knee. I wish him the best, but I am hoping the Maroons steal the spotlight! They are loaded with young talent and I'm hoping for lights out execution. Last years' games were high intensity. I expect Friday to top the charts!

I don't think harris plays. No way you play the kid with potentially hurt knee. Future is way to bright.

If I were an 18 year old stud RB like Harris & ESpn was broadcasting my game, wild horses couldn't drag me off the field

If Madison Southern loses this game they will likely finish 3rd in the district. They will travel to play the #2 team in the other district in the first round and then likely travel to play Pulaski County in the 2nd round. The #1 and #3 teams from one district are in the same bracket and the #2 and #4 teams from that same district go in the other bracket. Jim was not correct. The #3 team from district 7 will likely go to Pulaski, not Southwestern in round 2 if they beat the #2 team from district 8.

District 8 will be a nightmare to sort out IMO. I don't think any team comes out of without a loss setting up a tie breaker at the very least.
If MS ends up losing and finishing 3rd in the district (which is what I think will happen) they could end up at Whitley AGAIN, where they struggled earlier, Harlan County, Letcher or even Perry.

I think that's fine with the Eagles...the real competition in this region comes from Pulaski, SW, Southern, and North Laurel. No knock on the other teams I just think this district has proved its a notch above this year.

Harris will be out for a while. Crutches on a Tuesday, pretty much as I said before, not gonna play.

No benefit in playing and hugh amount of risk both physically and scholarship wise.

Is ESPN still going to be there for this one?
If Harris doesn't play, PC will put a running clock on MS for sure.

Nothing against either school but Harris was the reason for ESPN U to do the game...I don't see it happening without Harris.
10-08-2014, 12:28 AM
Game is still on ESPNU as planned. Can't just dump a nationally televised game the week of. Way too much time & money has been spent promoting this game.
10-08-2014, 12:31 AM
What about Riley Hall are their any schools looking at him?
10-08-2014, 03:08 AM
Promoting Harris, not Southern or Pulaski. Don't get me wrong, Pulaski is a good Kentucky team but this game revolved around Harris.
10-08-2014, 03:10 AM
Let me rephrase my statement. This game as far as ESPN U goes revolves around Harris, not Pulaski or Southern.

Something is just not right, Harris may or may not be out, the injury he got did not require surgery, This game will be the biggest game and have more meaning for him self, school, and most of all his team. If he is that fragile I am not real sure about this, I think it is A go. if it is not, I have seen A lot of kids hurt but play through it. We will see.
