For once I agree with everyone else on this topic. Its in bad taste. The kids read this stuff and there is no reason, in high school, to stir this kind of thing up! Kids that are already struggling do not need to read that their coach is in trouble.

Thread topics on guys who make 5-10K a year (grossly underpaid), and if they are going to be fired or not when they have to play the talent (or lack of in the grand scheme of things when comparing KY to other states) that walks through their doors.

I do not think losses matter so much as the way the team is losing. Are they being competitive in games they "Should" be competitive in? A game to use as an example is the Breathitt\Perry Central game. That was not good on any front.

Its not the moral issue that Im talking about. Coaches are grown men who choose to do what they do, knowing full well that they are in the public eye extremely. If there were no kids on this site I would say go ahead and blast the heck out of them, but kids are on this site. Its just not good for a player to read 10 posts that say their coach is a moron and should be fired. We should at least wait until the season is over. At that point, go ahead and tear them up if u want. :Thumbs::Thumbs:

Not a huge fan of this topic, but this is an open forum and there are no rules against this. I do agree this should be addressed in the offseason. If you are a coach on this site and this bothers you reading this then stay off the site.

it's a shame that so may coaches lose their jobs because of their records when they can't get kids to invest time to play. I am fortunate to have school that wins more than it loses. I however am amazed at how many good athletes are not willing to put in the work ad effort to play. For instance, my son is a sophomore. His class had 33 boys playing in 6th and 7th. They have dwindled to 13. This because they don't want to work hard to get a spot. The kids see there are other things that are easier to do, so they give up. Then it's the coaches fault when they don't have enough talented kids to play and they lose.

Which is why I laugh at these illusions of grander by some that make it sound like building programs at most places is a 10 step automatic proces, even over a lot of time.

You have to recruit those hallways.
If a coach doesn't make it work and get the kids out, it sits squarely on him. You are not going to get them all, but to get none means its time for a new coach.

This thread is not good for coaches or players to read. Coaches put in alot of time and hard work to put there teams in the best position possible to win games. In my opinion I don't get paid enough.this has the potential to be a very negative for players and coaches to read. Pro's may have a good time with this, but not at the high school level.

One would think coaches would be worried about there game plan than what people are saying on a message board unless there worried anyways...
