Well since I'm one of three Bourbon County followers on here, and the other 2 don't exist, and because they won't be a topic of conversation until the playoffs, I thought I'd post this video. The kid flies under the radar outside of 3A, but he does have a D1 offer, and will probably get a couple more as the year goes on ...

Great player. Would love to see more schools wise up and offer him. Could see Holman being a multi-year starter for like a MAC, CUSA, or Sunbelt school.
Love his ability to explode the second he sees a hole.

Go Colonels!

Holman is a nice back...and Bourbon has a very good looking team. Bolin has fit in nicely at QB. Don't think he's as good as Dalton Pope.....but very good in his own right. Look for Bourbon to get back to state semi's.....

I agree.
Although I think Bourbon may be a little more vulnerable than year's past on both sides of the ball.
IF and that is a big "if" a team can find a way to throw the kitchen sink and shut down Holman or limit him to only a couple explosion plays, then I am not sure Bourbon has the playmakers at WR to make you pay. Bolin is a nice QB but he also doesn't seem to have the deep ball or intermediate accuracy Pope had.
I think it will be a major uphill climb... but if Russell, Garrard, or Mason can play a solid defensive game I at least see them having a puncher's chance this year. The past two years I don't think you could say that.
On the same token I could see Bourbon steamrolling everyone just as bad as before.

very good points. BC is not nearly as explosive at the WR position this year. ...and while their line play has improved on both sides of the ball.....against quality teams.....it appears to be a consistent weakness.
From what I've heard thru the grapevine....there have been tremors and shockwaves surrounding the program and Adena Springs. Someone in the know fill us in......
If what I'm hearing is true......that money train may have pulled out of the station.

We need Tony Sosby, I mean ZachMorris to give us the scoop.

Bolin is a great addition. IMO he got the raw end at Lafayette. He will do great in his career with the BC.

I'm not sure it was a money train. They made a nice donation to the field, but it's built. Other than that I'm not sure what else they financially contributed to.

The city of Paris has more money in that town then they know what to do with, get the right coach in there and support happens. I don't know if Adena Springs was around when Hilton was there, but he had no problem with community support.

Plenty of support, not sure that money has ever been issue. Space maybe, but not money.
I believe they were one of the first if not the first to have the indoor turf practice facility, and that was long before Adena.

Holman is a lot of fun to watch. Downhill runner with a great burst; very physical player. His run against Powell County last season was extremely impressive.
It seems that there has been a huge increase of school and community support for Bourbon over the last few years. Hopefully that continues.

I have been watching Bourbon for 25 years. What this coaching staff has done is amazing. I wouldn't trade them for any. This year we are down a bit at receiver and line. But I think we have several linemen hurt. Holman is a beast at running back. Never takes a play off. He can carry a team if he stays healty. Nice young man also. I think Pope gave us a excellent running option last year because he was a big boy and a run first guy. I don't see where the poster above got that Bolin doesn't throw the deep ball or has intermediate accuracy? No disrespect to Dalton they are different Qb's. Bolin has a cannon and doesn't miss from what I have seen. I am overly impressed with this kid, his deep ball is as good as I have seen. As to Adena Springs, They did put some money in the program but we will do fine if they pull out. We farmers are not destitute.

O-Line looks very good getting to the second level to help #3 get those holes to make those plays in space against the secondary
