I seriously doubt the Dawgs will hold Raceland to two scores. Lowest amount they've scored is 35 points.

Sorry...I meant 25 points.

I want everyone that picks against my saved come back to this thread after the game and see if your still singing the same song.

I think lc is the better team in this one. However this has the potential to be a trap for them. This is the first competitive team on the schedule. Hopefully they come out ready to play and don't get behind early. This is a big jump in competition. I'm picking lc by 12.

Rams roll in this one, as far as competition goes Fairview should have won but should have doesn't count when it's over.

It should be a good game. Just hope we have good weather!

Up to this point it looks like perfect weather and I think it will be a very good game.

I agree with this because the defense is playing soft right niow. "Yes I said it" and I hope if any players or coaches are on BGR that they go back to the team and tell em that people say they are soft. I would like to see this defense play with some fire and anger friday night. :redboxer:

You may be right, maybe Fairview was the better team that nigh and maybe they should have won that game. All I know is that you can't judge a team by one night and one game. Any team can be beat any given friday night. Sometimes you just gameplan wrong and a team can surprise you with things you didn't expect and sometimes kids just have a bad night and don't execute. I have zero doubt that Raceland can and will beat us if we don't play our best football just like last year. I just hope for a good clean hard hitting game and may the best team win.

If Raceland puts 4 quarters together, they should run the rest of their schedule outside of Ironton. Still sloppy in places, but that 2nd half in every aspect of the game was really something to see in comparison to the first half. If that run game shows up every week, it makes our offense better and limits time of pos for the other team. If it does u will see us air it out early and then play the clock game later on in games. In terms of play calling we showed great balance. We may not be a run it down ur throat type of team, but we have plenty of rbs to keep defenses honest. Goina be a good game, but i still like Rams by 2 scores

im tired of drinking the kool-aid. I hope raceland comes in and smacks lc up and down the field.then maybe it will wake up the dawgs. Its just hard to watch a talented team get no better week to week. if any thing lc is going backwards again. just no excuses for it.

I was amazed at the different direction that the Dawgs and Rams went last season. Even though they were missing Daylin Beach and a few costly turnovers made for a whole a bit too deeply dug to get out of. But Lawrence earned that win and after that win, i said LC would be the closest thing that 3A east could offer Belfry, but LC went down hill after that win. Lawrence is seemingly going into that same direction right now. Lots of tallent, good QB and WRs, good run game. The defense seems to be a bt suspect at times. I think Raceland is better at being balanced defensively and stopping the run and pass in their base defense. The Rams are going to score points, LC can as well, but I think the game comes down to LC offense vs Raceland defense. In that case, i think Raceland has the upperhand.
#42
Honestly I think it will come down to what Lawrence defense shows up, the one we have seen from time to time this season or the one that we know we could be.
#43
Looking for a good ole fashion slobber knocker with the Dawgs coming out on top. As long as all the distractions of Home coming doesn’t get in the way. This is all ways a good game with both teams respecting each other that’s what make this just a good game to attend or in my case to listen to. Go Dawgs :Cheerlead

Can the Rams win two Physical games in a row? Coal Grove was huge and Physical and things aren't going to change any this week. Lawrence is still Lawrence good or bad they will knock your head off. I think Raceland is the better team but, can they hold up to the pounding two weeks in a row? We shall see.
#45
i think lc wins we win this game 48-30

BTW, you do know that Raceland is located in the northern part of Greenup County, right?
did you know that to go from greenup to raceland you go SOUTH on US 23. not that hard to figure out. hits a nerve with ram fans because so many greenup co kids Are on roster. out of district. there for known as SOUTH GREENUP

It's only because they don't want to play for your $hitty school up north.

I dont think either team wins by more than 2 scores. If Raceland is held to less than 25 pts the LC will have my upmost respect and attention. I dont think LCs defense is consistent enough to stop the balanced approach that Racelands offense has.

whatever the case may be. just enjoy a little ribbing with our greenup county neighbors. never hate. hate is a strong word. more like dislike. but with that dislike there is respect in there. boys of the wood have played the dawgs and that's what im saying dawgs over rams. seen with my own eyes. good luck to both teams, may the
rams stay healthy until the SHOWDOWN!! October 17th BE THERE!!

What a fun game this one will be, can't wait!

Does anyone on here, realize, that all of these so called, bad teams that L. C. Has been playing,,has been on the road.Confusederiously:

I agree. This is anybody's game. If LC can control the penalties, turnovers and stop the passing game of the Rams they will win at home. If not Raceland may dictate the momentum.

I think that Raceland's offense will be hard to stop and their defense is going to step up. No matter what the score is I look for both teams to be very physical and wouldn't be surprised to see more than a few flags thrown on both squads as emotions might get high as can happen with teenagers. Neither team dirty, just think emotions might get the best of one or two players is all. Should be a good game to watch with lots of big plays, I just think the Rams will have more big plays.

This^^ We have the athlete's in the D backfield and the size on the line but it just aint all come together yet for some reason. I will say that to this point coach was trying to play as many people one way as he can and we do have some people who either only play both ways in big situations this year or not at all. Our QB is probably the best defensive back on the team but he ain't seen no defense time this year. I think if and when we start playing a few people both ways this defense will be a little better.

I don't think Lawrence and Raceland have ever had a game that got chippy. Nothing but respect between both programs. Raceland is a good team and very capable of beating us but if they can hold this Dawg offense to 17 points I will be shocked! I think #7 and #11 are worth 17 points before the game even starts IMO.
