Lack of offensive speed? Tell ya what. Go back and look at how Estep, Pugh, Maynard, etc pull away from people in the open field. And actually, Hazard has some good speed as well. Belfry D is definitely fast and closes pretty well, and Pikeville did well against them. Keep trolling, buddy. You guys worry about getting past Hazard at Hazard before worrying about the trip to Pikeville (if they are blessed enough to get to that point of hosting Williamsburg) and the speed over here.

Fair question to the Belfry fans. Is #6 one of your faster players? Ask him how he felt trying to chase down Pugh on that big run he had. Man, that aggravates me. Plenty of speed in the mountains, 64Sur.

And by the way, reviewed several of the highlight tapes, and I've not seen a play where the D consisted of diving at the ankles. I know it is a highlight tape, but first 1991#8 brought it up and now you. I've just not seen it. I'm sure tackles have been made there, but from watching all 4 available tapes, I've seen them basically just go straight up against the O linemen of other teams.

Exactly my point they don't run te same defense against other teams that they do against us, the way you stop our offense is build a wall of fallen bodies to force the action outside to where the speed guys can swarm

Bell gave up 10 on defense to boro. Other points came on fumble return. (The 14 points Washington scored was against Bell JV defense I think?)

Boro gave up 14 to bobcat offense.

KC plays very good defense too.

Completely legal if you do it the right way.

For that matter cutting was also part of their strategy against Belfry's defensive line. Once again..if executed properly it is completely legal.

I dont know how this rumor got started.

Belfry's #1 HB is X Willis. He played 4 Quarters and only missed a handful of snaps with cramps.

Belfry did not have their #2 HB for the game in Cameron Catron. Catron has been out since the 1st Half vs. Henry CLay with a broken collarbone. He will not be back until the end of the regular season.

Belfry did not have their #3 HB Deonte Joplin (Catron's replacement). Joplin left the team this week to transfer schools.Belfry had their Top 3 rushers for 4 Quarters.

On top of all of this... Belfry's top two rushing threats are not even their HB's. FB Austin Hatfield and QB Keaton Taylor are Belfry's top rushing threats and they both played 4 Quarters. Hatfield missed some snaps with an ankle turn and Taylor missed some snaps as well..but both played over 90% of the offensive snaps.

To try and discredit what Pikeville did by suggesting Belfry was missing players would be grossly inaccurate.

I was thinking this as well. But is it too late in the season to make such a big change. Willis, Taylor and Hatfield in the backfield would be very frightening indeed. The issue becomes synergy between Keaton and Noah when Keaton moved to wide out very late in the year.

Not at all, it was an excellent post but I wanted to clarify. Looks like we agree but most people automatically assume Belfry's #2 being available would change the outcome of the game. There's nothing wrong with people knowing it wasn't a 1400 yd. rusher, it was a new guy with 4 carries in his career, right?
