Why not wait until he gets 2,000 then ask if he will end up with 3,000. Or does 3,000 points not mean to much?

I think your success should be measured on what your team does in the Region and State Tournaments. If you shoot enough you can score points, so scoring alone doesn't make you a great player, leading your team to significant wins, helps make you a great player. Sorry, just my two cents!!!!!

I think that is very true . One man scoring does not win games. It takes a team.

Oh, they didn't beat me. I just hate that school and the admin there. They have such a "Do you know who I am" attitude and I don't appreciate that. There are kids on that JBS team that will not be there next year and that will come back to haunt JBS because of the way the Stepps are only concerned with getting Clark to be a basketball god!

that would be pretty amazing to see, it sounds unlikely but we'll just have to see...I'd like to see if happen though just to keep the excitement in highschool basketball in the state of kentucky

NP, They already edited it . I don't know what it said. I don't really care what anybody thinks about Stepps points. I just didn't like the team is a joke thing. We got other kids that play their hearts out.

Thats what the whole point of my comment is. That admin is a joke. You have players out there all night playing their butts off and all we ever hear out of pippa passes is how Clark Stepp is the next coming of Christ. I'm serious. Its crazy. I happen to like Clark, and the Cox kid as well. Good kids. But the admin there has created this one man show and the whole program is geared toward one player. Get the other kids involved and don't overlook them.

Well put it this way.. As long as he is shooting as many as he does it is POSSIBLE but not likely with the likes of Coxs on the team. You would think after a while his arm would get tired.. Hey maybe that is why he taught him self to shoot with with his left hand that way when his right arm got tired he could always shoot left handed. HAHAHA. Like that old saying "like father, like son" well in this case I beleive it would be "like uncle, like nephew". If he did surpas 4000 who would he be behind in the state?

Well they don't have football and they are basketball crazy, so I'd say it is a year round event. They are located on Alice Lloyd College's campus and share their facilities, even occasionally the ALC charter bus. I agree with another poster, they definitely have it in their means to be an Eastern Kentucky version of University Heights.

As far as Stepp scoring 4000 points, I don't think it will happen. For one reason he's not a good enough 3 point shooter...he's more of a slasher who also draws a lot of fouls on the defense. Of course, he may improve his 3 shot as time goes on, but I still say it's unlikely he reaches that many points. Plus as time goes by, he will probably be surrounded by other improved and better players, and won't need to carry all the scoring burden (unless shooting and scoring is all he thinks about, which would be selfish imo). A balanced scoring attack will make the Crusaders a more complete team.

Stepp is a GOOD player, and I don't think his family is any more involved with him, than public schools are with their sons and family. [ I know of several cases on that subject.] He has been playing team ball. I don't see how the kid takes all the attacks that are put on him. I don't think he will score 4000 points, but he may try.

If he was born that way then that is cool and all but there for ever he was learning to shoot left handed. He always shot right in gradeschool games and what not. but either way the only way he will even come close to 4K is if Coxs leaves...unless of course he wants to be like his unlce and say i am the only one who needs the ball and average 60 points a game like his uncle but hey what ever floats his boat. It will be a team loss. And I am glad he can shoot with both hands, but he will eventually get tired of shooting... Wait no he won't he is a STEPP I forgot it is in his blood. He will shoot his 40 shots a game and get his 30 points but it isnt helping him nor anyone else. So a little word of advice...Either STEPP it up Clark or go home, be a team player. And the comment about SLone going to JBS. I sure hope not they already have 1 ball hog why have 2???Unless of course they are trying to get the "REAL" ball playe, which is Coxs, out of there. :boosign:

On JBS..only one and that is Stepp, and you know it only takes one bad apple.. And one ball hog is enough on any team.

He might hit the 4000 point mark but I bet he will pass the 10000 shot mark easily. In my opinion Stepp isnt half the player Cox is ?

Lets put it this way I know enough about him to say that all he is and ever will be is a ball hog...No ifs,ands, or buts about it. He is a STEPP and every STEPP that has played ball in his family is a shot gun thaa just so happens to be a ball hog! So Clark needs to STEPP his game up and play more like Tate Coxs does...now that is your player.
