Williamsburg @ Newport
#1
Thoughts and Predictions. :welcome:
#2
Newport's defense has had some issues this year, especially stopping the run. Offensively, Newport has a balanced attack, but they need to have the right plan going in if they want to be effective. I think Williamsburg's offense will do some serious damage, and Newport will struggle early. Williamsburg by 21

I need Newport to score early for Williamsburg to get 64....Confusederiously:

I see the Burg getting better and better, they seem to improve with every play. I think the big lineman #75 he is A beast, Gary Lamoree his son. he will be back, not sure, the burg has not played with full first team as of yet I see another running clock.

I can understand why Williamsburg wanted to schedule this game. Taking a long bus trip and taking care of business is tough for high school kids. Williamsburg does not have home playoffs this year, and will have to deal with this in the playoffs. I see a much closer game.

2A Newport record is 1-2 only win came against Walton Verona.

Lost to 3A Mason County record is 4-0
Won beat Walton-Verona record is 3-1
Lost to 5A Scott record is 3-0

Just looking at that this should be a good game...I don't care what mysonis55 calls them.....Confusednicker:

I don't want to mouth 55 much, because I am not sure that is who we will be playing IF we are fortunate enough to get there. I talked to A coach who coaches 1A, He said Quote; that he thought that Frankfort or any one of 3 other schools would be very hard to beat. Don't you doubt that we don't have the attention of all those schools. I don't really care, I think the orange yellow Jackets will take them as they come. 4 running clocks we aren't going to sneak up on anyone, so we may as well strut our stuff. Respect our opponent, just before we beat the devil out of him. Running clocks are bad for us our first unit has sat on the bench 3 times more than they have played.

Ive been reading in other places that Newport doesn't think Wburg will be much of a problem. But those same people also stated they could be 9-1 or 8-2 at worst.

I got news for them. WBURG with a RUNNING CLOCK.

Topnotch, your posts are out there. I hope no one is worried about us. We are just gonna go one week at a time. Time will tell. I hope you all think you are going to put a running clock on us. Trust me, I hope you are undefeated at BG and we get there. I really, really hope that's what happens.

55 it doesn't get any better than this, I know it takes A lot for any team to get there, I also know it is A great honor, one that will be with our children, players, students and fans for A lifetime, I ask you this, what would it be worth to either of us to go play A weak team? I want the orange Jackets to play the best the West has to offer, WE did that last year, I know, we may not get the chance, but I believe we will.

One week at a time is everything ok Mysonis55. You sound a little weak into your statement :please: Get some sleep. Confusederiously:

Once again, Top Notch explain your posts.

Newport this week. District play. Playoffs including Raceland, Fairview, Pikeville, and Hazard. A couple of long road trips playing excellent teams. A lot of things have to happen before we worry about Mayfield or whoever comes out of the west. Let's enjoy this one game at a time. Enjoy a good toad trip this Friday.

if Williamsburg did put a running clock on you. you would claim that another team was better and should have won the championship.Confusednicker:

Trust me, if they put a running clock on this team, I certainly won't say anyone else should be the champs. If they could do that to our jv I would say they are deserving.

Read posts on both sides for williamsburg's strength.........knew they returned a lot this year but are they really that good. I have seen them once and they certainly looked impressive but big game with newport this week will certainly tell the tale. If their defensive unit hasn't played together as of yet that is really scary.
