Ashland should put up some points, if they will feed Baker and Sutton and Long and Prince the ball and the carries. Rivalry game both teams, schools and fan bases want to win this one very bad. I'll say 35- 14 TOMCATS.

I think Ashland wins a close one. If Ashland is to reach their full potential this year, then Jake Long has to start touching the ball more.

Russell cannot improve enough in 4 days of practice to even come close to beating Ashland. Russell will improve correct some problems they had with Ironton and be ready to play on Friday. I'm concerned that Korzep might not be able to go on Friday. We will see.

Korzep does a lot of irreplaceable type things but Hoback and Peterman are very good replacements if he is not ready.

Not that I know of. Kid is fast not the football talent of Baker but can take it to the house on any play.

Are you serious? He's just as talented as Baker. They are definitely different types of players but both are equally as talented. I mean its great that you are a Baker fan, so am I, but don't take away from the other kids.

I'm not taking anything away from anyone on any team that put in all the hard work and sacrifices to play football. Long is a very good player but Ashland will go as far as Baker takes them.

Ashland is probably 4 or 5 TDs better then Russell but I guarantee you the Devils will be all fired up and play over their heads against us. Ashland and Russell are bitter rivals in anything and everything usually doesn't matter who is the better team on paper, will be a close game and be a hard fought battle whoever wins.

Wow...ok??!?! Last time I checked there were about 10 other boys busting their butts and playing football at the same time Baker is. Again its a team. They will go as far as THEY, as a team, take themselves. But according to you Quinton plays every position on both sides of the ball so its all on him. Lol. TCats people like you are why folks love to hate Ashland.

One thing is very apparent, Russell will not give up. They will fight with everything they have. If Russell can contain Ashland's triple threat it might be a good game. Well duel threat. I guess it has been determined that they won't give the ball to the one kid.

Last time I checked Ashland has 80 players so I hope all of them are busting their butts to make themselves and the whole TEAM better not just the starters.

Hope I'm wrong, but I think Ashland's 2-3 TD's better this Friday than the Devils. Won't be from a lack of preparation though. TJ will have them ready, but they have to execute and be aggressive.

Hope I'm wrong to but I believe Ashland will win by 2 TDs. Before transfers came knocking I thought it might have been our year. Transfers give them a slight (+) from last years game. Smith still out and Korzep banged up gives the Devils a slight (-). We will have to see.

I'm not trying to be a smart a$$ but I have a question. Why is it that all the other schools and fans hate Ashland so much. I have noticed this when they announce scores at games. Is it Dicky Martin? Is it the Ashland Fans? I for one like Ashland as long as they are not playing Russell. Come playoff time I root for all the teams in our area.

Both of these schools, but primarily Ashland, have this elitist attitude that the fragrance of arrogance oozes forth til it permeates the surrounding schools. The current administration resembles that of our current government officials. Ashland is all so quick to point the finger, make the call and send the email or text that other schools are evil doers and they (Ashlanders) are the savior of the community.

Look at the transfers that Ashland has landed and not one eye brow is raised but let Boyd County, East Carter, West Carter, Rose Hill, Fairview, Raceland or Greenup do it and the gloves are off.

If Ashland and Russell would merge it would be like "Real House Wives of RussLand"

Dickey is Dickey, and the parents are so cocky. Those are the biggest reasons people hate Ashland. Has nothing to do with their storied past.

We can't beat you so we will whine about you. Honestly these are high school sports and we are most adults noone should hate any school over any of this.
