Well I do believe Southern will win, but Central has a stable of running backs. Central and Southern are similar on the line but I think Central is a bit slow in that area. I watched Central last week against Woodford County and they run the ball well and and are pretty efficient on offense. People have very high expectations for Madison Southern because of Damien and Dean, but they lost 20 kids off of last years team and Central returns most of what they had. This game will be tight and emotional in what is becoming a healthy rivalry that I think should be very good for years to come. I look forward to it Friday night...for those of you who may want to catch Damien play this one might be the best game all year.

I like Mark Scenters as a coach and a person I would call a friend. I usually root for my hometown teams(Berea and Southern) when they aren't playing against my kid's team(Rockcastle), but, in this case I don't care who wins. I just hope it's a tight game and not a blow out either way. I'd say Madison County wins it and I hope everyone stays healthy for the later part of the season.
