Looks like weather might be a factor this friday. Going with pikeville by 21!

If it rains , p burg stays on the ground, frasure, Marcum will not be stopped, o line looked great sat, at boyd co. Defense left off where they were at at end of the last season!! Jarrell to jarrells in the air, both are play makers with a lot of speed. I watched the Panthers last week, there o, is no match for p, bugs,d, after watching sat.blackcats by 21!!! Also heard khsaa will be doing random testing for performance enhancing drugs after the game, should be interesting!!! Was told there would be random teams throughout the state that gets tested!!! Any truth to this???

P-Burg wins because they will be the better team.

28-21.

This may be the best game on the slate Friday night. Prestonsburg has something to prove here and Pikeville has confidence. I believe P'burg gets them by 10 to return the favor.

From Letcher Central to P-burg to Jenkins. Wow...I feel sorry for that family if work has them moving like that.

Shelby Valley as you put it "awful". But they take Paintsville to OT and actually had the game won in regulation. Paintsville lost to Pikeville 28-21. Just saying..... I think Fridays game will be a good one. P-burg will not be shutout in either half this year which will make a close one. Too close to call for me.

^Or Pikeville beat Middlesboro by 31 who beat Danville by 25 who beat Shelby Valley by 18?:please: Agree though, should be a good game.

I mean I am giving Pikeville 6 pts just for being at home. Pikeville, Hazard, Ashland, JC and. Belfrey are all Mtn teams that are really hard to beat at home even if they are "down" by their usual standards. I always give an additional td or so to teams like that. With that said, Pikeville is just as good, if not better and more experienced than they were last year.

With the weather, i like pikeville even more. Prestonsburg has alot of tallent and speed, but Pikeville has, imo, a better line and tougher rb in Pugh

Seems to be a lot of focus on the rainy forecast. But if some may not know, Pikeville's home field has a carpet (as does P-burg's).
A bigger weather factor for August and September games is HEAT. In last year's game P-burg lost Frasure the entire second half due to cramping after having the lead. There were others who cramped, of course, but he was Prestonsburg's main weapon early on and the Blackcats couldn't kill clock effectively without his running game.
Come to think of it, rain come Friday night -could- be a good thing for the players if it cuts down the temperature. Hope the players have been hydrating this past week or two...

If Pugh is "tougher" than Frasure, well...I'll just say I look forward to seeing it...

U will see just how many weapons the blackcats have in there arsenal tomorrow night, there not a one man show! I predict scores from at least 4 different players.not trying to take anything away from any one player, but people will see!!!

You mean seeing it again...Last year - #45. Watch the plays he makes on offense and defense. Not saying Frasure isn't tough, he's a load for sure, but I don't think any Pikeville fans would want to trade...

oneijoe Wrote:If Pugh is "tougher" than Frasure, well...I'll just say I look forward to seeing it...He's an extremely strong, fast, downhill runner who also can go east-west when needed. Don't sleep on Pugh. Due to Chase Hall and then later an injury, not many got a look at Pugh at RB. He will surprise you if you aren't familiar with him.

If you really think this will be a blowout either way, you're either not very knowledgable or just a total homer. Two tough, talented teams will be out there tomorrow. I highly doubt one will "wipe the carpet" with the other.
