y is david in the 15th they need to combain wit another school to play or something that is crazy how bad they get beat
#5
I just don't understand why they were put in the 59th despite being so far away from the other 59th district schools...
#6
Congrats pikeville.

Way to go P-ville.

Congrats Panthers

Pikeville scored about 3 times there average tonight I say. Hopefully David can build a competitive program but I don't think they can benefit too much from taking beatings like this every game at the varsity level. I think they should play at the JV level only until they get better if they are allowed to only play at that level. Maybe the coaches and players at David and Piarst don't care about wins and losses and the scoreboard and if thats the case more power to them. It would be pretty cool if 5-10 years down the road they had a competitive program. I don't know the background of either school very well and really I don't know if that is possible. Regardless good luck to both Piarist and David.

Thats pretty bad if you ask me. Beating a team is one statement but 39-105 is bad

Keep your heads up David. This is only a learning experience.

David finished the season winless heading into the 59th district tournament....I'm betting they'll make an easier schedule next year...

The David School scored 39 points, that's most points I've seen them score all year. (I'm sure they may have scored more but it's well above their average against the teams that they have been playing). By them scoring 39 points my assumption is that Pikeville did not leave their starters in the entire game. They probably let their reserves play the majority of the game, and if they did, that was the right thing to do.

As long as Pikeville did not press and play their starters, what's wrong with scoring 105 points? Just because you are playing a weaker team, that does not mean you should not try to score or play less defense.

Any player on the court should always give 100% effort; offensively and defensively.

The assistant superintendent of Pike County schools can shed some light on that.

Pikeville played their starters about 8min. for the whole game champlin had 13pts and clevenger had 12pts.Ithink from what the radio said one more player was in double figures.Everyone scored coach williams played zone and man most of the time ned does a good job he is a quality person david will get their good luck in the future.

I watched the game and I don't think Pikeville ran the score up intentionally. They played the bench players most of the game. As for the David School, Good Job Falcons! I saw some very nice three point goals! Keep your heads up! Your getting there. You guys seem like very nice kids and could teach a lot of teams around here a few things about sportsmanship.

Because the Floyd County schools didn't want their district broken up...David was going to the 58th and Betsy Layne was going to the 59th in the initial realignment but the Floyd Co schools bucked on it.

Congrats to Pikeville
