Deion was a little on the light side. Im hoping you are going to tell me he he will just be a junior next year so we can have him for 2 seasons.

He is either a jr now or will be a jr next yr. I couldn't quiet understand what the boys were saying about that. I heard there may be another 1 or 2 moving here as well. I don't know what they are for sure yet though.

I hope they ain't from west Virginia. We need someone that can hold on to the ball when they get hit.

I think wherever they are from, our coaching staff will make sure that they aren't careless with the ball. We have too much talent to let 1 or 2 ball players do stuff like that.

Hopefully if 1 or 2 more moves in they will be lineman.

We can always find linemen. That is our true bread and butter.

The way things are shaping up at this point, wouldn't be surprised to see the Panthers and the Cards in BG slugging it out.

Well, tell you what. We'll do what we can. Think it's been 1991 since we've been there. Got beat out by Brandon Burger, and his Beechwood Tigers.

I may have to put the tape of the game against caldwell in the vcr, and watch it for about the 15th time since its the only mayfield game i have taped.

You will be watching a bunch of blown calls and opportunities. I still cant get over the fumbled kick that wasn't.

Well its all ive got so i watch it alot. Bright keeps me entertained in this game. There are a couple times i think he could have housed it if he would have turned and not ran straight in to a defender the one time he turns he stumbles and gets run down from behind. But he definitly has some speed. Boyd looks fast but there are about 3 occasions we have his jersey grasped or hit him and fail to make the tackle and he houses it. Our last fumble seems questionable on wether caldwell actually recovered it in bounds or not. I like the touchdown we run from over 5 yards out that hernandez runs out of the power i. The crumble fumbling catch is a good play.the muffed punt was in both players arms so i guess that its the right call to stay with caldwell but the ref sure blows the whistle quick and makes sure mayfield doesnt get it pulled out of caldwells arms. The kickoff you are reffering to i cant tell much about, i just see both teams go for it when it bounces in the air and cant tell who comes out of the pile with it. It shows the black hat pointing our ball, mayfield celebrating then the white hat saying something to the black hat then the black hat points the other way then we get pissed. My buddy from caldwell says they recovered it but the ref just pointed the wrong way the first time so i have no clue who really recovered it.

No our boy cme immediately out holding the ball in his hand and gave the ref the ball.

You also missed when Deon fumbled they tackled him by the face mask. They just about took his head off. I would have fumbled too. The problem is it was a major penalty and should reverse the fumble and should have been Mayfield ball 15 yards further.

Ill have to rewatch that play, i just know he wasn prottecting the ball good. There was enough room between his arm and his side to carry a grocery sack so it was easy for the defender to poke the ball out. I have no ideah why the kickoff recovery was reversed if mayfield came out of the pile with it. Its actually a miracle we didnt lose by at least 3 scores with all the dropped passes and jake definitly missed the most short throws i ever seen him miss underthrew a number of easy passes.

Yeah, he didn't look himself that night. He rushed the short throws. I'm glad it was a game that didn't matter.

I need my eyesight checked again. I cant believe i never noticed it, i was always to busy watching how he was carrying the ball and where the ball was recovered, but you were right. That would have been huge as mayfield had all the momenvm at that point and caldwell looked like they were laying down until they got that gift.

You just had to have been there jet. I still for the life of me cannot get over the kickoff that we recovered and the ref signaled as ours. Then the Princeton native ref came over and reversed. If we got that, it was already in field goal range. It is what it is, we lost. I just hate to see it over stuff like that. Of course, as I always say, we should not have put ourselves in that position. We have the worst luck on their field. 2 of our 5 losses over the past 5 years have been on that field. The first was in the mud bowl and the second in the flag bowl.

We may be crying again this year, caldwell should be tough even with the lineman they lose. But this is it for awhile for them its back to the woodshed in 2015. I was looking at a paper from caldwell that has all the scores against mayfield. Mayfield leads the series 36-9-1 it appears most of caldwells wins were fairly close and the majority of mayfields are beatdowns.

I don't think they can handle us this year. I think some people are gonna be surprised by our young talented team.
