The Pikeville Panthers beat Hazard 7-4 in six innings on Friday at Home behind Nate Brown's 2 hits.

He singled in the first and fourth innings.

Cade Byers got the win for the Pikeville Panthers thanks to 15 strikeouts. Cade allowed three earned runs on two hits over six innings.

Blair ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He allowed six runs, walked four and struck out four.

Hazard jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the top of the first.

The Panthers got one-run rallies in the first inning and the fourth. In the first, the Pikeville Panthers scored on an RBI single by Byers, scoring Brown.

Pikeville scored five runs in the second inning.

Hazard scored again in the 5th and Pikeville matched that run in the bottom of the inning.

Pikeville is now 4-0 on the young season.

They will Morgan County today at noon.
