I have never watched a Pburg ball game like I watched tongiht...I mean pburg shot at least 8-10 air balls from 3 point land....Idk what went wrong with this team tonight but something was up....and I have to give credit to BL they out hustled and out played pburg tonight and walked out of pburg with a W.....good job BL....BL has some tall players thats for sure and they r good athletes

this game was the worst called game i have saw all year. not taking anything away from the bobcat basketball program, they are a physical team, but the refs where horrible. BL knows we where cheated, some students admitted it to me after the game from the bobcat student section. yea the blackcats may have missed a lot of shots tonight, but its hard to get momentum going when the refs make such bad calls that everytime you try to do something, a stupid call turns the ball over. BL knew what they where getting away with so they hurt a blackcat underneath, becuase until that point, and THEREAFTER they got away with it, finially they called a foul when SENIOR POINT GUARD michael stevens was helped off of the floor.
i really don't want to get started over student sections, because they weren't guided on the same rules as us, basically we can just stand there with our arms down by our sides an shut up. every cheer they started came from somtheing we said. they where a VISITING team that told us to drive home safely. WAKE UP BETSY LAYNE WE WHERE HOME!!!

I dont think that what Betsy Layne's fans did tonight was classless at all. There is nothing that says a fan cannot paint his body, which really didnt matter because they all had shirts on anyway. I just see that as a way of support. BLHS has been nagged on all year concerning cheers and what they can and can't do at ballgames. The fans never booed or said anything when Michael was lying there, they even clapped when he got up. The betsy layne fans dont do the "Hail Blackcats" cheer (they attempted it tonight but the principal stopped it REAL quick), they dont hold up newspapers while the cheerleaders or basketball players are in front of them... I'd like to discuss pburg's fans-- they continually flipped off the blhs crowd section and yelled "suck it" all night long. Compared to some of these schools, BLHS isnt a concern.

If you want to talk about shaking hands after the game-- there was only two of pburgs players that stayed to shake hands with the blhs players : Sean Leslie & #10 (don't know his name)... the rest went straight to the locker room.

BTW: hope Michael is okay

I don't think you walked to the game DID YOU? You had to drive your "CAR" home.

I guess you didn't see P-burg players pushing BL's players to the floor time and time again AFTER a play was even called. P-burg players was always grabbing and holding on to jerseys.

ONE thing i noticed tonight durring this game is that the foreign student is the dirtiest player to ever be on Besty Laynes basketball team.Bad called game for both sides at times even though pburg at home they were given the short end of the stick.
Payback is a B****,well get ya next time.

our cheerleaders yelled as loud as they could an no one could hear them from the boo's coming from ur so called "CLASSFULL BOBCAT PEP SECTION" yea thats a joke, so we held up newspapers, i had one in my hands an it was some pretty damn good reading, and those fingers an the suck its, yea they where said but they didn't come from anyone that goes to p-burg. just people that had mixed in with us, in all honesty. if you ask me maybe we did get out of line at times, BUT THERE IS NOW WAY YOU CAN SAY BETSLY LAYNE WAS PERFECT? and if u do, u my friend are a liar.

yea when they where trying to foul to stop the clock. doesn't everyone do that?
and yes everyone else saw it also, from both ends, well everyone except the refs.

Overall this was the worst game I have seen Prestonsburg play all year. They were out coached and out played. Jackie Day did a decent job, but can't control his players. All they wanted to do was shoot threes and had no set plays, which is where the coach needs to come in. They should have stuck to their game, which is work the ball inside with an occasional three to the open man. About the only good thing I saw tonight was Leslie's defense on Kidd, he completely shut him down.

Maybe this loss was good for Prestonsburg? Confused

dont call me a liar because i never said they were perfect. All the fingers and the sayings did come from "your side".. dont deny it because everyone there saw it and heard it.. i guess you my friend didnt follow the guidelines..

By the way.. pick up Sunday's paper -- especially the SPORTS section and read it at your next game..

In the earlier BL & Pburg predict thread, Blackcats were saying how they couldn't wait for the Bobcats to get on here after the blowout and say it was all the refs faults.......Well, that's calling the kettle black isn't it.

I will have to agree with Leslie's defense. He did a very good job. Just glad the the Bobcats had other players to step up and play well. Had 3 players in double figures.

About the fans, Prestonsburg has been known to be just like every other student section. They get into the game and say stuff they really don't mean, just use it to try to get into the heads of the opposing team. Although, I was dissapointed in Prestonsburg student section. You couldn't hear anything over BL's students.

It is VERY classless to boo other teams, and yes I was standing there, and clearly heard something said from the BL fan section about Michael. Holding newspapers is not classless, if I remember correctly Allen Central did the same thing to Pburg in the District Championship about 2 years ago, and there was no problem with it. But HA, thats really funny about the Pburg cheerleaders. They were only in the stands for a half, and they all have more common sense and class than that because their coach does not let things like that go on.

like pburg has never booed any1....who cares what AC did,is this a thread about them, hmmm.....I DONT THINK SO! but thanks i thought we were pretty loud as well. Its pretty bad when your playing on your home court and the opposing team's fan section is louder. I am very proud of our student section, we help our boys so much!!! Maybe you guys should get a lil louder and get your boys pumped up so they could win! BETSY LAYNE ALL THE WAY--- 2005-2006 Conference CHAMPS-- hell yea!
