I was really impressed with Johnson Central's defense in this one. The press they ran along with their halfcourt zone defense was extremely impressive. They played the passing lanes well and pressured the ballhandler constantly. They'll be a tough out if they continue to play with that kind of defensive intensity. This game never really felt like it was close but it stayed around the 10 point margin for the majority of the game. McPeek impressed me the most in this one, he was flying all over the place. Kid plays his heart out. Congrats to Coach McKenzie and the Eagles.

I think ER could have won this game if the coaching had been there. Coach played the wrong combo that did not matchup well when in fact he had the players to matchup with JC.

Pretty sure most people will agree that McCoy is one of the best coaches in the 15th.

I am not suggesting that he isn't one of the best. He just didn't utilize his best lineup avaliable for what matched up best against JC.

As a foreword to my question, I am not disagreeing with you. Only wish to hear your opinion. My question to your statement is...

Why? Why would most people agree that?

It's not like he hasn't won a few championships before. That alone should be a good enough reason. The man has been coaching high school and college basketball since Jesus Christ was a small child.

Best recruiter

He is a great coach I agree 100% as I know him personally. But he could have utilized his options better today and in my opinion may have been able to pull off the upset.

Did anyone see the intentional fouls by 44 from ER? Them someone from crowd yelling way to go! What a piece of work. Lots to be proud of there

East Ridge could not have won that game they had no where near the talent and the kids were nervous. Plus instead of playing basketball some players wee more concerned with rough housing and not playing bball
#13
Hey KingGotNext, Looks like Coach McCoy had a good game plan. East ridge was in the game with them longer than anybody who played them in the region. The other teams got blown out and East Ridge was only down by six at halftime and maybe some of the other coaches should have taken a page out of Coach McCoy's game plan book. So when you know basketball you can make more stupid remarks?????
