There are two teams in the 14th Knott Central and Cordia both are quality teams one team has a starting five that may be as good as any team in the state, the other has debth along with speed and maybe their first five are a little below. It will make for a great game and one of the favorites in the sweet sixteen. all the teams in the 14th should be proud it takes all the teams in the 14th to push each other to make one outstanding team and you have it.

I have never posted a negative comment about any KID at Cordia. I didn't agree w/ the sucker punch but neither did anyone else. Read my post after Cordia, KCC and HHS beat PCC. Didn't hear no excuses from me but only we got outplayed. Unlike you Cordia psychos I understand the limits of kids and that pretty much anyone can beat anyone on a given night. Be careful what you say cause it can happen to y'all just as easy. PCC may be watching from the stands by we will do it w/ dignity and will respect the team that beats PCC. Unlike you freaks that always have some type of lame excuse like you only lost because you got cheated or the refs don't like y'all because of the color of your skin. Grow up and man up.

I think the 14th region is just as competitive, if not more so, than the 13th. I really wouldn't be surprised, no matter which team wins.

NO it makes Cordia look better when they kick the dog poop out of Perry Central, which they did, and played the number 4 ranked team in KY in their house to a two point loss without one of their starters. should have been 1 point they missed the final free throw on purpose.

Perry won't be hurting next year they have two 6 foot 9 boys comming out of JANE BUCHANNAN next year. But we won't talk about that.

Really?? I have heard that but I think these kids are Canadians correct me if I am wrong. If so when did perry co gain SEVIS school status? I know most don't know what that is so let me explain. SEVIS schools are schools that can accept F1- visa students. A SEVIS school is who issues a I 20 for a foreign student. Cordia, JBS , Breathitt co and Hazard just got theirs back in the fall. On last check those are the only schools in the region that can accept foreign kids. So unless perry gets certified before school starts in the fall or have been certified recently that is unlikely. It is also a 18-24 month process to get this done. Those kids are responsible for the total unsubsized cost to educate a student in the district in knott co it is 9,864 per year. It will probably be about the same in perry. This fee can not be waived it is federal law. In a private school like JBS they can set the tuition what ever they want. There is a lot of red tape that goes along with them so just to say they want to come it is just not that easy.

I met the kids at the game I do honestly hope they make it, I am not sure what kind of athletes they are but, they were nice looking young men. I think if they are good athletes they will only make the 14th even stronger. Thanks for the post I learned from it.

Here is the way I see it. I would disagree about KCC being a too 10 team in the state but neither Cordia or KCC has beaten any of the top teams when they have had the chance to this season. I'm not hating on either of them but just look at the results when ANY of the mountain teams have played the top teams. Just because you play them close doesn't mean your better than them or in the same league as the top teams in Ky. Close only counts in horse shoes. The best teams in the state find ways the win those close ones. The 14th hasn't done that when they have been given the opportunity to this season. Just the way it is!

I watched the game and thought the refs did ok. But the only reason that cordia lost this game is because Rhodes tried to start holding the ball early in the second quarter. If he would let them run and press the whole game it would be a totally different team. He has the most talent in the region but he don't use it right

I wouldn't disagree hitter. They had enough talent to win region b4 the injunctions were ever filed. It doesn't look like they can beat KCC though. I mean KCC spotted them 17 pts the first quarter and they still couldn't hold on. That's not a good sign.
