Me too

Congrats Hazard

Johnson choked for Perry. He missed 1 maybe 2 easy shots under the basket with under a minute left and missed his free throws with under a minute left. The redheaded kid for Central made a couple threes that gave them some momentum. Hudson was the aggresor tonight and looked like the better big man between him and Johnson. Hazard kept Beverly quiet for what seemed like the entire game but I'm sure he ended up in double figures. Thompson hit some clutch free throws for Hazard as usual. It was a good game between 2 heated rivals who could possibly end up playing each other again in region.

22 and 17 for Johnson, played his heart out. Hudson had 8 points... So there's that.

Solid win hazard.... Perry has scruggled the past several games or it seems like they have or it could be just the competition has gotten better..
#11
Free throws kill the Commodores again. Once again missed 10+ FTs.

None of that changes the fact that the guy choked. I'm sure he's a good guy and obviously a great player but he choked. It happens.

You should have been in Corbin tonight ref's call a technical. on williamsburg before the game for dunking in warm-up. :truestory:

Great game to watch. Austin Neace had some BIG shots for PCC tonight. Hazard just seemed to play very lively. They done a great job on defense, especially on Beverly seemed like. Great game over all. Congrats Al Holland and the Hazard Bulldogs.

What is the big deal? If the refs were on the floor while the kid dunked, it is a technical.
#18
Hazard played a good game but the walking call at the end was a bad call. He was juggling the ball and you have to have possession for it to be a walk. And the two charging calls at the beginning of the second half were terrible. But congrats to hazard for a big win

Who were the officials in this one?
#20
Well I hit the nail on the head with this one. I called hazard by 3
#21
Heck of a game. Thought Austin Neace did really well for Perry.

I no for a fact Huggy_Bear I don't need to explain crap to you....Confusederiously:
#23
Huggy_Bear, you say that Johnson missed a couple of easy shots, fair enough, but the kid had 22 points and 17 rebounds.. without him, they probably wouldn't have been in the game... As for the free throws, those are irrelevant since he might shoot about 50% on the season.. Not a strong free throw shooter by any means, so when he misses it's not a choke... to call any high school kid a choke is completely classless... C'mon man, grow up
#24
That was a WALK! Watch the tape!

Congrats to hazard Wink

I KNOW for a fact I have no idea what you are crying about...

Anyway, the technical was warranted if the kid dunked while the refs were on the floor. So again, what is the problem?
#26
I don't think it was a walk.

I think he established his right foot as his pivot foot and put the ball on the floor before he took his step.

I've got a good shot of it...
But he missed the shot anyway.
It's a bang bang play and it doesn't matter if he don't make the shot anyway.

Wburg got a T before there game with Corbin because kids were dunking when the refs walked out.
I don't know anyone else who doesn't know that rule.

Congrats to hazard Wink

Me and a hazard coach watched that part of the tape a few times and even he said that it wasn't a walk. While his feet were moving he never had possession of the ball. He was juggling it.
The refs were fugate, creech who called the walk, and I don't know the other pne
#29
When I looked at it live I thought it was a walk.

I don't see a bobble.

I've got no problem with the call though. JJ puts the dribble down quicker and there is no issue. He started his move while he was gathering the ball. Gather first and then make your move and you take it out if the ref's hands.

This game seemed really strange. What is up with the lineup change? I have watched Perry play several times but haven't seen the starting lineup that was used tonight. Perry spotted Hazard 10 points in the first quarter. If Austin Neace and Toomer had played the first quarter, I believe that it would have been a different game. Perry seemed to also slow down the game too much. Hazard had some to do with that but there were many times that Braxton seemed like he was on a leash. The best that I have seen Perry is when they are running and pushing the tempo. There were many times that they kept looking to the bench to get a play call and it seemed to take them out of the flow.. Lots of confusion out there. I really wonder if Shannon was holding some cards back. Depending on how the Knott/Cordia game goes, a loss tonight may turn out to be a good thing.
