Cordia the better team wins. I believe Maggard was embarrassed what one of his cohorts was doing in the first half and tried to even things out. If Letcher Central doesn't install a budget for recruiting, they will never be able to compete for a 14th region title.

Owens and Frazier have played that way all season. Frazier missed free throws that he normally makes. Game was played at LCC's pace. Rhodes plays a passive zone which lends itself to a slower pace. Thought game was officiated well. Cunningham was the difference. Hammonds had the right game plan. Shots had to go down.

That's what lost them the game. Cordia came out and dictated the pace in the third quarter and the Cougars let em do it.

LCC- 10 7 16 12
CHS- 13 7 21 25

If they would have stayed the course it would have been a game.

Cordia shot 64% in the second half which enabled them to press more. They shot 30% in the first half. LCC shot 34% for the game and shot 15-26 from the FT line. LCC only turned the ball over 10 times, but some lead to easy baskets for the Lions. LCC was 0-7 from 3, and those lead to runouts because of bad numbers in transition. Cunningham had 25 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. He was 11-15 from Ft line. He was the man last night.Owens had 24 points and 10 rebounds against a huge frontline. Frimpong once again shot the lights out when given open looks. 14 points on 5-10 from field. Few more makes would have tightend the game up, but LCC gave their all despite most saying they did not have a shot. Cordia comes out cold in the final and they are done.

But holding the ball for 4 minutes???
I felt like I wanted my admission back really..
Letcher was definitely trying to set the pace..
2nd half the Lions just ran them over.
At the end of the 1st half the foul total was like 14-7 in Letchers favor.
If the Cougars sunk their free throws, yes it would had been closer.
