Shocker from the 39th. Bach with a huge game hits clinching free throw with .8 seconds left.

He scored 48 of his team's 61 points. One of the all time great performances.

Wow, didn't see this one coming. I had Mason Co. at Rupp but hats off to AHS, especially Brett Bach who scored 48. These upsets are what make Kentucky HS ball great.

Hopefully Buckhorn can do the same tomorrow night. We all love a good upset around here.

If you've never watched Brent Bach you're missing something special. Kid can play.

Bach and Gilbert from Scott County are the 2 best scorers in the state. They just flat out know how to put points on the board.

Brent Bach is the best player in the state of Kentucky. Kid put a bad team on his back tonight and beat one of the regions favorites. Unbelievable.

He's Bach
#9
Bach went loco, wow would have loved to see that performance.
#10
that will go down as one of the top 5 performances this year, if it's not #1

Back-to-back years Augusta has beaten Mason County in the opening round of district play. Heads should be rolling today.

Very nice win for a small school.
#13
Mason County will again watch the regionals in their gym from the stands.

I'm not familiar with Augusta High School. Have they ever won a regional basketball title?

I've heard that and am not doubting that, but when he came to Campbell County, he was not even the best player on his own team!

This is an absolute shocker - maybe the biggest shocker in the 10th Region in 25 years! The top five teams in the 10th is Montgomery Co., Brossart, Mason Co., Augusta, Campbell County. Augusta lost all four games that they played each of those teams by 10+ points. As a matter of fact, Augusta lost by by a margin of 334 to 233, they were blown out! This is an amazing accomplishment!

Yes they have, 1926.

Before that it was a Methodist College I think. There's some connection to Union College.

^ my bad, they did. Lost to Winchester in the 1st round of the state tournament. I saw Ashland twice

After watching the Bach kid play a few times it is almost sad he was considered or Mr. Basketball. This kid is a stud. Can score from anywhere in the gym.
