I agree.complete control. no interference from anybody in the administration whatsoever.no faculty members calling plays from the bleachers lol
footballfever Wrote:They probably would have but N. Laurel was ranked about 20th out of 40 5A football teams . They were 3rd in their district and lost in 1st round of playoffs.

Wildcat18 Wrote:Lost to Perry County Central by 13, which was the same team who annihilated Whitley County by 45 points earlier in the year. North Laurel underachieved. They should have went a game or two deeper in the playoffs and would have given Pulaski a much better game than PCC did.

Seems the losses North had was to Pulaski and the starting QB didnt even play which I know was a big part of their team and seems like I read the MLB didnt play either. I got to go to that game due to my team being open. Was very close game till the last 5 min.

I know they lost to Mad Southern, I was there. That was a good team.

They lost to Perry in the playoffs and if youread in teh previous post the starting TB broke his ankle early in the game and the QB played very little and seems they had a few otheres get hurt as well early in the game.

So if this is underachieving I would hate to really know what underachieving is.

North was better than they usually are but still mediocre
Innovative scheduling does wonders for public perception.

Innovative :1. the introduction of something new 2. a new idea, method or device.
Explain please ???
Sorry to confuse you football fever. How about this: schedule your out of district games against teams you can beat and many people become fooled as to how good you are.
walterwhite Wrote:Sorry to confuse you football fever. How about this: schedule your out of district games against teams you can beat and many people become fooled as to how good you are.

I was confused cause there is really nothing new about that. But again sometimes teams win their non district games because they are good. Sometimes they are good but lose those games. Hell, I am confused:biglmao:
Is Darrel Woods going to be on the staff? He would be a huge plus for Chappell.
walterwhite Wrote:Sorry to confuse you football fever. How about this: schedule your out of district games against teams you can beat and many people become fooled as to how good you are.

How about this.
Schedule a brutal and hard out of dist sched and don't win them and then get beat up so bad to where you don't win dist games too. Who do you fool then, the kids, fans, parents, adm.
Full you have kinda contradicted yourself so I AM confused. Do you want an easy schedule or hard schedule. Did they have an easy schedule or hard schedule......did it matter, does it matter or will it matter?
you fool your self into thinking you're good when you win against weak teams then get in the playoffs and find out you are mediocre.
does nobody know who will be on Whitley's coaching staff?
E's Army Wrote:Is Darrel Woods going to be on the staff? He would be a huge plus for Chappell.

I agree. If Darrel Woods is on the staff, it will be a big plus.

you really are confused Confusednicker:
I too am interested in seeing who will be on the new staff.
I think the only obvious one right now is Gibbs.
I'm starting to get confuse.I think it Whitley fever. :blondnurs

meant that teams with a tough out of dist ssched and tough dist sched dont do themselves any favors if they cant win.

some teams dont need to play a tough sched due to tough dist games

it can fool people into thinking since they play a tough sched all together and never win then they are no good.

I do not think anything is guaranteed with most staffs at this time. It is only February. Will Chappell be his own Offensive coordinator? Would Gibbs be happy not being the offensive coordinator.
Did Whitley buy out the Boyle Co game? If so why?
I know Whitley bought out of the Morristown game. Did they also buy out of Boyle game? If so who will they replace those games with?
Was trying to get Corbin on week one and Jewell declined today.

if you cant win against good teams you're not good.
Confusednicker:

I don't like it, but I can see why he bought out the games.
Cmon Jewell, your shenanigans are getting old. No Anderson, Campbell, or black, and you still wont schedule it>!>!>!>>!>???!?!?1

any idea who will be on the schedule?
Williamsburg has an open date......just say in. Confusednicker:

The Pigskin Classic is week one, so I'm sure Corbin cannot play that week. I think that Jewell might be willing to drop Trimble and add Whitley, not sure if that could be worked out or not.

They drove to Trimble last year for the easy win, I doubt he will cancel it with them coming to Corbin.
