Some of your statements could be proven as LIES immediately--but no one here has had one cross word to say to you about it. I would suggest that you NEVER try to act like I am abusing my power as an administrator again. I have NOT and WILL NOT do that. The point of the matter is that you come on here and say things that you have no clue or understanding about--most likely because you want to stir up trouble.
So, instead of watching this mess--I have decided to go on the offensive with facts (that you have yet to disprove).
If that bothers you--I am real sorry (Ah--NO NOT REALLY).
I would suggest that you actually TRY to make a difference instead of coming on a message board and complaining about everything and everybody that you don't like.
You forget--I am in this business. I know what the truth is--and what the truth isn't. If I am wrong--bring some facts to the table that prove me WRONG-if not--take some of that anger and go up to the school and help the kids who want to lift.
Until you do that--you are just as bad as the administrator or AD--or better yet--you are no different.

Your right MCHS#79 you need a head coach but at least he cares enough about the program to try to get things started
02-10-2006, 10:43 AM
shew they need to get in there and start working out now bfore it is way too late
02-10-2006, 01:44 PM
some programs have a winning tradition, and that starts with the administrations attitude and one more thing you all need to try to get chuc williams to come back out and coach.
02-10-2006, 01:45 PM
IMO alot of games are won in the winter!...they need to be in the weightroom!
02-11-2006, 12:06 AM
We started lifting but weve been off so long me or anybody else can lift what they left off on.
02-11-2006, 12:17 AM

The admisnistration at Maggoffin Co. doesn't care about football in the county and they can kiss my ass for that!!!

I like you wildman, your straight to the point and don't waist no time getting there!
I think alot of people wanna say what you just did.

The same ole song and dance . . . . . .
Keep in mind--the only ones who need to care about football at any school are the kids that play the games.
You guys are so busy blaming everyone else that you forget to look in the mirror.
The funny thing is--there is plenty of "motivation" to shove to everyone who has done this program wrong--but we continue to hear all of the complaining on the board.
Nice, nice, nice . . . . .

true, but even though the kids share responsibility the administration also needs to help the kids get the right facility and equipment and if they already have it get those kids the oppurtunity they need to get in there and lift and i think thats what coach williams knows and understands and i commend him for his efforts on trying to get the kids ready for the upcoming season!

Coacher 06( coach Williams) was asked to open the weight room by coach Howard according to coach Howard. Coacher06, Did coach Howard ask you to open the weight room? By the way, I knew it was you whenever you kept bragging on coach Williams, coach Williams. Good luck though and let's just see what kind of great-defense you come up with this season.Hard to concentrate on D when you got every other aspect of the game to concentrate on as well. Let's see how you do coaching the O and D and o-line, d-line, linebackers, d-ends, secondary, running backs, special teams, quarter backs, x,y,and z's all by yourself buddy like I had to do. I did the offense, defense and had to do it by myself, so let's just give a hats off to coach Williams and see how it turns out when you got no help and try to do it all.
Your little throw-off on the Defense as well, What did you do to help the problem on Defense, not much, you were a middle school coach remember.

Coach Fugate and Coach Williams were both @ the weight room a week or 2 after the season ended from what I had heard, but there were NO!!!! players show up or at least only a few did. Now comments are being made that the players cannot lift the same amount that they did when the season ended, but what is wrong with these players taking it upon "themselves" to condition "themselves" on their own time? What keeps you "PLAYERS" from doing something on your own? The answer is no confidence and they will not think for themselves. They have bought in to the fact that they are from Magoffin Co. and that is bad. What keeps anybody from MC competing @ any level? IMO everyone puts blame on the administration, the coaching staff, the players, the parents everybody but themselves!! You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink!!!! I was around the program, I saw who did what and who gave what. So remember when you point, you got other fingers pointing back at you. As always MC has got to whine and complain about what they can't do or why I can't lift this or that. Man go outside and lift a bucket of water, get an elastic band and use that to build your upperbody, get in-shape yourself when you can. Does the weight room need to be open, ABSOLUTELY, but a "player" can do a little something on there own during the winter as well. The situation at MC is bad, but nothing that is not to late to take of. The Coach Howard problem during Basketball season is something that is very confusing and needs to be worked out, but "players" do a little bit yourself, have confidence in yourself, gather up your team and meet with the principle. I know he cares for the program, but stop saying there is nobody that will help MC, because there is people willing but cicumstances that keep them from it. I've rambled enough, but I want my point to be explained that MC is not a doormat to walked over. They are like concrete, weak at the beginning, they just need time to harding up!!!! GO HORNETS!!!! and Good luck to whomever is helping, Coach Williams, Coach Fugate, Coach Howard???? Keep the Faith!!!!

OK, I have went back and read your posts.....................You first say you were not a coach who had a brother that played on the team and that you may coach if given the chance.............Now you say you did coach. After reading your other posts further, it appears to me you may be the Coach Fugate they are talking about. So lets say for an instance that is who you are.......Why are you apparently arguing with players on your team online? That seems strange to say the least. You have also changed your stance on the administration there in the county as well as the coaching staff several different times. If I didn't know any better, I would think there is more than one person using your log in information.

o don't think it would help them

For one thing I'm a student at MCHS. Not a coach, don't even play football. Don't know coach williams. Thats just what one of my buddies told me. So I don't know what the hell your talkin about saying I'm coach williams.

If Magoffin is not in the weight room by now, then there pretty much screwed!
02-15-2006, 01:47 AM
I am coach Fugate and I'll make this short and sweet. Those of you that really know me should know I'm not the type of person who needs to bash people on a computer.
Coach Williams called me tonite and asked me if I had seen the Magoffin county posts on here. I'm not one to get on here and degrade the administration, players, coaches, or former coaches. If I've got a problem, I'll be man enough to bring it to your face and expect the same from you. Someone is doing a bad job at being me and it's someone who knows me personaly and has been around Magoffin county football.
I've got a pretty good idea who it is as well. I'm very proud of the football team and alot of those young men came a long way. No matter how tough it got, those boys never quit and for that their winners. Brad Wireman was the definition of what hard work is. This young man worked 10 hours a day in Lexington running a jackhammer and still made it to practice . He worked hard and made a solid Tight end for us. It was a privalege to get to coach Shep, great young man, ton of talent. I would fight for each and everyone of those young men! Whether I'm rehired or not and right now I have no idea what going to happen, I want to see Magoffin county football turn things around.
We should have won several games last season, but as a coach, I take the blame.
I look for some big things this season from Cody Cole, who showed tremendous improvement last season. I look for Larry Neil to step up and be the leader of the football team this season. The work horses, Jordan and Curtis, will both have a big year. Gibson and Davis will make some big plays on offense with Jared and Smiley leading the way. The nose guard, Brandon mullins, who was the smallest lineman I've ever saw, but had the heart of a giant. Look for big things out of freshman Joradan Owens as well. You guys have the talent and coach Williams won't lead you wrong.
If you want it bad enough and work hard enough, dreams can come true! No excuses, get it done, start right now being the hardest working team in the state. You have the talent, believe in yourselves and each other and turn the corner this season.
Whether I'm rehired or not I support you guys and wish you the best!

Guys, I got some bad news today. The principal told me that nothing was going to be done about the football program until april 30th. The players will not be allowed in the field house to lift and they do not have a certified teacher as a coach and will not be allowed to lift until they hire one. By law, a certified teacher/coach is required to be present and Magoffin county does not have a teacher/coach on the staff. Coach Williams told me they had shut off the heat at the field house/weight room due to the fact the kids using it had ran up to big of a bill. So, the football team will not be allowed to use the weight room until a certified teacher/coach is hired and that job will be posted as late as April. So, no weight room, shut off the heat in the weight room, and no spring practice.I was told as that right now basketball was what they were worried about. They as well told me they had no ideal what was going to happen and the kids could go up town and lift if they wanted too, releasing them of responsibility. I'll be honest, It wouldn't surprise me a bit If they don't shut the program down, the signs are all there. No weight room, no coach, no spring ball, waiting until April 30th to look for a new teacher/coach, and noone, I mean noone can tell you what's really going on. I'm afraid the entire program is in big trouble by the way things are shaping up. No way would I even be interested in coming back to a situation like that.I have another job offer but I was waiting to see what was going to happen at Magoffin, what I've heard, It literally sounds like noone gives a damn what happens and really aren't worried about it at all. I offered to come and Coach Williams and I get a weight program started but I was told we could not use the weight room until a new teacher/coach was hired and that would be looked into april 30th.
It just sounds like to me they're doing away with the football program and hiring the head coach they did last year, It was set up to make it so bad that noone would contest doing away with football. You know we didn't even have pads this year until 1 day before our first scrimage and it showed as well that we started about 1 week later then evreybodyelse. Guys , It has went fron bad to worse and I don't blame Dayne one bit for leaving. I've hoped that that things would work out but from what I've heard with my own ears, I know it's never going to happen and the football program doesn't have a chance. Your a great bunch of guys and I hope you get a chance to have a football team this year because no matter what the situation, I know you love to play football. Good luck.

Hey vince you take up for coaches when its their fault would it be because your one
02-17-2006, 11:29 PM
I was told the other day that MCHS is student wise the biggest 2a school in the STATE!! If this is true and as weak as 2a is there is no reason why this team shouldnt be dominant in 2a.
