Like it or not he did an excellent job.
He is shooting low to mid 40s and almost 50% on 3s. Try again.

I'm really worried about a matchup with Buckhorn in the 55th...56th...ah whatever District we're in.
I'm worried that they might only get beat by 20 this time around.

Who cares if Buckhorn gets beat 20? It's them, not you. Worry about PCC, not Buckhorn.

We've been having a rule broken on this site regularly in the last week and it is one of our most serious rules. As a matter of fact, it's the ONLY rule on BGR that carries an automatic banishment.
So let me make this clear.
YOU DO NOT REVEAL ANYONE'S IDENTITY OR ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION ABOUT OUR USERS
You know someone's personal name? Great. DON'T say it on here.
You know where someone works? Congratulations. Keep it to YOURSELF.
I've sent PM's to those that have violated the policy lately, but if it happens again the mods and admins will handle it with bans.

Justice played well in this game, seeing he spent the night at the line. Cordia missed way to many layups to win this game. They had several opportunities to score on fast break or on post up plays right under the basket. If they want to compete with the Knott's, Perry's and Hazard's, they are definitely gonna have to hit those easy shots inside. That was the difference in the game and that alone. Simon and Hall for Knott are finishers at the rim and Chapman, and the rest of the big men for Cordia are way too soft inside and just can't finish at the rim. If Cordia can work on slowing down and making sure they finish their shots they win this game and all the other games they play, but if not they will stay #4 in the 14th.

There was a stretch in the third quarter without a basket that killed the Lions.
Shots that you have to make just not going in.
You got the feeling watching this game that Cordia was working hard to get up shots that were contested while Knott was just running their offense and taking what was there.

One question D1, how are you saying Cordia is 4? When they have shown to be better than Hazard?

I think Hazard is just made to take good teams down to the wire.
They grind out games and don't make many mistakes.
I don't think Cordia proved they're better than Hazard. They beat them by one possession each time. They proved they can beat the Dawgs, but if Cordia meets up with Hazard come tourney time I wouldn't count my chickens before they hatch. It'll be a BALLGAME

Taking Hazard's first game with Perry out of the mix...
The Bulldogs played Cordia twice, Perry once and Knott twice.
Dec 17 - Lost to Knott by 3 but had the ball in hand with a chance to win the game before 2 Knott FTs
Dec 29 - Lost to Cordia by 1. Had a shot to win it
Jan 9 - Beats Knott Central by 2 after a buzzer-beater
Jan 10 - Beats Perry by 2 in OT
Jan 16 - Lost to Cordia by 2 but had he ball in hand with a chance to win the game before FTs by Cordia

I agree with that statement too. Hazard makes you play their style of basketball which will usually give you a great shot a winning at the end. I'm not saying Cordia is head and shoulders better than Hazard but if you have beaten a team 2/2 than no reason to rank them behind a team that loss both times.

I agree.
BUT I think that you can argue that Hazard is better based on the fact that they played Knott to the wire once and beat them once in Hindman.
I know people can say it's crazy, but that's the way it goes.
Cordia can't stay within double-digits of Knott but they can squeak by Hazard...
but Hazard can beat Knott and has been right there with Cordia.
I think it's safe to say that both of them are tied at this point.

I look at KHSAA website but a lot of doctoring goes into those stats. Most of the time it's the family or coaches that have an agenda putting those stats in

I was not at the game, but I can tell you the difference between Justice and Chisolm.
Justice is a D-1 recruit and Chisolm is no one's recruit.

1-3-1-press Wrote:One question D1, how are you saying Cordia is 4? When they have shown to be better than Hazard?Yes they beat Hazard twice in very close games, Hazard has been even playing better as of late. Perry/Hazard games don't even count because both were missing key players during those 2 games, hopefully the next time they will be at full strength(Friday night). Hazard has also split with Knott. So I would have to put Knott,Perry, and Hazard all in the top spot, with Cordia right behind them. That is how I got 4th for them.
Maybe by next week after Perry/Hazard, Perry/Cordia, and Perry/Knott games we can see all these teams at full strength and see how they all really match up this close to District/Regional tourney.
53rd District = Knott, Cordia
54th District = (Draw is Thursday) Perry, Hazard (if draw opposite)
55th District = Breathitt, Wolfe
56th District = Estill, Powell
The regional tourney will all depend on a draw. My pick ?????? will wait until next weeks games to see how the Big 4 play against each other.
