All 3 are good,, but Cam is the better.
02-03-2014, 01:49 PM
Cam is one of the BEST shooters you will find not only in the state but also across the country! Neither of the other 2 can shoot like he can!

What makes him better? 1 inch taller? Plays in the EYBL? Do you think Cam is better than Elijah Justice was? Im not saying Cam isnt good enough to play at UT. Just curious as to what he does better than some of these other guys.
02-03-2014, 01:56 PM
I think it's because he is such a prolific shooter is what sets him apart for them. All those 3 players you mentioned were very good all around players but wasn't great at anything. Big diff between good and great! That's just my opinion!

Is Cox still at Transy?

I'd say a good chance he'll play at Vandy now that he backed off UT. The others were great players,, but Cam is on a level above them,, IMO. He is a great shooter,, one of the better in the nation,, as is tops in KY. He is shooting almost 50% from 3. He basically scored 2000 points in 2 years of high school. Had around 300 his 8th grade year. Cam can play in a major power conference at a middle type school. I don't think the other 2 could. Alice Lloyd and Transy should tell you that.

Well Mix1 I just dont believe the hype. If Cam is a big time D1 prospect then that makes Justin Johnson eligible for the NBA draft this year. I just dont see all the differences that you guys see in some of these kids. I have saw Cordia and Hazard simply put Cam on LOCKDOWN! And that was with slow small guys. Not 6'5 studs he will be playing against at Vandy. Again not taking nothing away from Cam because I think he is great but I just think hes any better than Elijah Justice, Josh Whitaker, Tate Cox, and some of those other guys that have came out of the 14th region in the past few years. He may be the best shooter in the nation but if he cant get his shot off against Cordia and Hazard then hows he gonna do it with the big boys?

If he had a commitment to UT it doesn't matter what you guys think. Someone on the that staff evaluated him and believes he can play Division one basketball. Really....what is your point of reference and qualification to evaluate basketball talent? Are you real coaches or bleacher coaches? There is a reason he had been offered by UT.
02-03-2014, 02:45 PM
Johnny for what ever reason,, you're butt hurt by Cam and Knott lol. It doesn't matter what you say,, what I say,, or what anyone says on here. The schools that are after him speak out for themselves. Wake Forest, UT, Vandy, Butler, UAB, Ohio St, Louisville, Indiana, to name off the top of my head. I'm sure those coaches would know more about if he can play at their school than coach potato coach as yourself.

Fromthebleachers I can evaluate just as good as anyone else. Dont really care what you or Mix1 think. Lets see where those offers are next year when he has to sign on the dotted line. Elijah Justice was great, he had to walk on at U of L. He had all those OFFERS when he was an underclassman. The only guy that has a DONE DEAL is Justin Johnson. And lets face it, JJ is a damn freak of nature. 6'6-230 and can jump out of the freakin gym. Im not butt hurt over nothing. Justice goes up to Lex this year in the Sweet 16 and drops 30 a game on everyone and wins the State Title then you can say I told you so. The only guys that has done that from these parts is Elijah Justice and Ritchie Farmer. Could Ritchie of played for Coach Cal at UK today. NO
Good luck to Cameron and I hope he gets to be a first round draft pick some day but it is what it is. You cant score no more than 5 against HHS and Cordia when they chase you, it kind of leaves you wondering. Great players find a way to score.

You would go broke evaluating talent. As I said before,, I think he'll end up at Vandy.. Majority of the schools I mentioned have offered a scholly,, which means the want him at their school. I'd take Vandy if had no chance of making the NBA. Good resume stuffer.

Seem to know it all,, so ok..

I think his game is more suited for Vandy than UT. Maybe some other teams will step up if he has a solid post season and performs well in Rupp. With the draw the 14th got they could very well be in the semi's vs a PRP, team that they played tough this weekend.

At one time someone that that Eloy Vargas was one of the best big men in the nation.
Ringo is just saying that Cam is good but he's not seen anything that sets him apart from a Tate Cox or a Josh Whitaker and I don't see why everyone has a hard time dealing with that.

If Justice stays healthy he will more than likely end his career with 3500+ points. I'd say that sets him apart from a lot of players...

No doubt he's special. No one is denying it.
The points he puts up in his career is a decent measuring stick as to how good a player he is... but it doesn't tell the whole story.
Knott puts a lot of points up, partially because of Cam, but partially because of their style of play. He will probably have taken more shots than any of the players mentioned and I will remain silent about how many FT attempts he will take when it's all said and done

I may go back to the old Knott threads and see what kind of wonderful things everyone was saying about Tate when he was at KCC.
I'm sure there are plenty of juicy nuggets in there about him being so great.

I mentioned Cam takes a lot of shots...
but nobody...
and I mean NOBODY will take more shots than Clark Stepp lol
Kid was still a gamer but he was like a black hole on offense. Ball went to him and it never came back haha
02-03-2014, 10:16 PM
Maybe that's why Tate didn't lol. I don't have nothing against any of them, I don't care what team they play for. I've always loved watching a kid get into the zone and light up the scoreboard. I was happy to see cam break the single game scoring record in the Wymt classic and just a little bit later Matt day broke his, really fun game.

Clark had 3,070. Cam has 2500 right now. He has no chance at King Kellys record of 4263,, but a good shot at 2nd place of 3647 which was set in 1956.

I believe a big thing that these college coaches are seeing with Camron is that he is playing out of position right now and still doing big things...
IMO: Camron is a SG, but he has to play the point for Knott. I think Camron will do great at the D-1 level, maybe not as a Fr but somewhere down the road Camron could be a nice 2G in the SEC.

You are clueless. Absolutely clueless. I will leave it at that. I will say this....Pitino probably wouldn't have recruited Farmer either. But Pitino was left with him, Pelphry, Feldhaus, and Sean Woods..etc. It was an amazing coaching job by Pitino in his first year to squeeze out fourteen wins. I wonder how many of those four would have been at UK if Pitino had been the head coach earlier. But Woods aside....the other three had one thing in common. They could shoot the three. You have to remember also....Cal doesn't coach college level players.....just NBA ready. There is a difference.

Anyone thats clueless is you. Take you two days to come up with a response like that. You had to sit down and think for a long ass time didnt you. Clueless idiot.
