Just saw him tweet it. Kinda had the feeling he would. No idea behind his reason yet.

Why did you have feeling he would?
02-02-2014, 12:49 PM
My theory was Martin wouldn't be the coach when he got there. Vols board saying Peyton Allen is taking his place a year earlier. Recruited over? Don't really think so,, different class. Still think has to do with Martin and his hot seat.

He's saying UT and Vandy at the top of his list as of now. Vandy has offered.

Smart decision

Thanks for the info! How strong is he academically?
02-02-2014, 01:06 PM
He better make excellent grades to go to Vandy
02-02-2014, 01:08 PM
I have no idea on his grades,, but I'm sure vandy wouldn't offer unless he has the grades.

Vandy would be a great move IMO
You can't lose with an education from somewhere like that

Cam is excellent in the classroom. Straight A student.

Given that, why would he not take the offer from Vandy? Sometimes kids need someone to tell them they have 4 years left to play basketball and then 40 years to work while using that degree they received while they were playing those 4 years. Outside of the one in ten million who will go on to play in the NBA, what kid wouldn't be better served playing for a Davidson as opposed to an SEC school (other than Vandy)? Assuming they can get in, of course!

I always wonder in these cases if somehow other coaches get word to the player that they are interested. I'm not saying that has happened here but basketball recruiting isn't like football recruiting yet. Give it time.
02-02-2014, 02:58 PM
Of course they get word,, up until the sign papers for sure. Not saying it happened here,, but it happens. Know a lot of stories from college scouts,, some would blow your mind. Reason you hear less about it,, is your comparing 30 signed players a year in football to 3-5 in basketball. Goes on loads more than you think.

I know it happens. I guess my point in the difference was at least it is backdoor as opposed to "committed" players openly taking visits in football.

WKU would be a great fit for Justice IMO

Vandy is definently a great academic school, I also think their basketball team is in a better direction then TN right now. Vandy is in a down year now but only because they lost 4 players out of starting 5 to a year suspension each. Next year they will be back in school and on the team.. And I believe hands down Stallings is 10x the coach Martin is.

He is a great kid I hope where ever he ends up at ,it works out for him.

Vandy a great school.... And maybe another Ky player can come back and haunt UK
02-02-2014, 05:25 PM
I saw this one coming 3 months ago. Hope he finds a place where he fits. Good luck to Cam because he is a great player.

WKU would be nice choice.

Wow. He is a great ball player.

Would love to see him at Vandy.

Is he really that much better than Tate Cox and Stu Stamper?

Not even a question.
How many 60 point games did either of them have?
02-03-2014, 12:52 PM
I think Justice is better than Tate...
but it ain't by much!

Well all I got to say is, how many times did an 8th grader or anyone hold Tate Cox to 4 or 5 points in a game? Just saying. I think Justice is very good but Tate Cox was pretty darn good. Stamper was a scoring machine. What separates these guys. Im sure Cox would of played on the EYBL if given the opportunity. Did kids from Eastern KY even play EYBL back then? All you heard around here for 5 or 6 years was Tate Cox. The Cox kid was special. He was a winner.

I think when JBS imploded and they all moved over to JBS that it killed Tate's numbers.
Stamper was gonna score every night and that probably cut into his points.
With Tate running the point and Stamper coming off of those curls you can't expect the kid to score 60, but if that JBS team would have stayed together Tate would have scored as much as he wanted.

Ill tell you why Tate looked so much better at jbs is because Stepp had everyone's attention. That gave Cox more space and a lot less pressure. Not knocking cox though, I would deff. Vote for him for president. Awesome ball player and a even better person.

I actually agree w/ you!! Stepp got a bad wrap because of his uncle's coaching but he was a VERY good player.
