Riverside has a VERY nice team. Game was closer than score shows. The score was 66 to 58 w/ 6:45 to go. PCC shot 10/27 on free throws. This team was also was up 12 on Ballard w/ 3:30 to go in the 3rd quarter. No moral victories but good showing so far by PCC.

Justin Johnson had 29, Braxton Beverly had 17, Damon Tobler had 13.

Someone needs to work with these kids on free throws. They shot a similar percentage against Hazard. To compete at the level they aspire to they have to get better on free throws. Simply takes repetition and technique. Peace be among us. Brother Cecil.

Heston B needs to recruit some better players Cecil.

I'm so sick of hearing that. Perry aint missing 3 starters. Beverly, Johnson, and Tobler are all 3 going to start. Toomer aint better than Tolber, Toomer wasn't the best player on Wolfe County. Plus, Turner is better than Fugate and Pray. When Toomer, fugate, and Pray come back PCC will have trouble. Playing time trouble and some mad daddies. Like, Estill Neace and John Michael.
If PCC plans on playing Beverly, Johnson, Tobler, Toomer, and Pray. I hope so, because people will ZONE the cap out of them.

The only reason, in my opinion, that PCC would need John Toomer, Nathan Pray and Tyler Fugate is to give PCC better overall team speed on defense. When you have two players like Braxton Beverly scoring 24.7 points a game shooting 48 out of 93 shots, and Justin Johnson scoring 21.3 points a game shooting 54 out of 80 shots, you do not really need or want many other players taking too many unnecessary shots.

I'm sorry but Fugate easily should start, I've watched this team play. I can't remember names or numbers but PCC has a player that does not attempt a FG outside 10 feet, the game at Clay Co he just stood on the wing with the ball. The 3 players are EASILY 3 of their top 6 players

Lol, PCC isn't missing 3 starters but I think it's 3 of their top 7 and that's a fact. Time will tell how much those guys will help them. I think Defensively they help PCC be able to guard man to man. I also think those 3 help in transition offense because Toomer and Fugate finish good in open court. Could be some upset ppl but that's anywhere you go. Winning takes care of most of that.

What Perry needs right now is a 2 guard. That's the position hopefully Toomer can play. I don't know until I see for myself as I have not seen him playing for them. Time will tell. Against these athletic teams Braxton gets wore down late in the game as he did against Shaker Heights. Another weakness they have is they don't have a true back-up for Johnson when he gets winded or in a foul trouble. I agree with you that Perry is not missing 3 starters they are missing what they have for the past several years. A 2 guard to complement Beverly. Peace be among us. Brother Cecil.

You need a player like Toomer to help Beverly get the ball up the court against these more athletic teams. You have to get it up the court and set the offense. I don't know if he can do this until I see for myself. But that's what they are hoping for. Peace be among us. Brother Cecil.

PCC and Cordia both should be closely investigated to see how these boys are mysteriously moving into an area with jobs going ut by the hundreds.
