Okay--tell the truth--
Is ACDC the official band of the class A state playoffs?
It seems like whenever I would go to scout for the playoffs--it would start with:
1. Back In Black
2. Shook Me All Night Long
3. Thunderstruck
4. Hells Bells
It never failed. When ever we went somewhere--we always heard those same songs.
They don't fire me up . . . . but that doesn't mean anything.

This is a very weak statement. Let me explain why:
1. I never NEEDED ANY MUSIC to get fired up to PLAY FOOTBALL. If you do--then maybe you should take up a different sport.
2. For those of you who are trying to say what is/isn't a good song to get fired up to--you are out of line. Everyone is different. I used to have a physcological game plan when I did listen to music before the game. I would start out with something smooth and calming--from there, I would gradually build up. It helped to get me focused--not excited (because I was already ready to play).
And for the record--ACDC is miserable. I can't stand them. And it is pathetic that, everywhere I go, they play the same songs, over and over.
The whole concept of playing music during pregame warmups is also a joke. We don't do that (where I coach now) and we never would. And I would say that things have worked pretty well so far . . . . .

Our Boys always came down the steps to the field while the "Halloween Theme" was playing. Then it was some ACDC, Rob Zombie, CCR among others.
At Russell it's just tradition.
The most fun was when we played Ice cream and cake so the Cheerleaders could do the dance with the little ones.
