the Jackets are gonna be on the wrong end of a lot of these games this year I believe

This is a bad loss. Not only is it a 26-point loss, it is also to a team whose head coach just resigned. Maybe that helped Garrard out, but it just doesn't bode well for Middlesboro.

I thought Middlesboro's best shot was last year, but they do have six seniors and two established players. I think they are capable of being pretty good, but they have always been inconsistent, at least in this century.
This may be their last shot in a while though. Their JV team is down.

The only thing they do consistently is underachieve. Since I have watched basketball in the 13th Region, they have had some talented teams and all of them fell below expectations.

So your telling me a Class A school that has not been known as a basketball school, won the 52nd District, the All A Regional, District runner-up, and upset Corbin first round last year. Wow, what underachievers. I wouldn't mind to have played on those teams.

Yeah, it's hard to say last year's team underachieved. Everyone called the Corbin game an upset, but I had Middlesboro ranked higher coming into the season. I thought they were better than Bell, too, but Bell just demolished them during the season at Middleboro, but the Jackets won in the district tournament.
I think they've had two nice seasons back to back with the win at Harlan County in the 2012 district finals and the win over Bell in the first round. I think both of those were pretty big upsets for a team that had won only a handful of games the year before.

What I meant was over the years, they've consistently underachieved. I know they have had a few good seasons, but it seems like they have always had talent but have always lived up yo expectations.
