Who all plays tonight for Cordia?
12-05-2013, 10:29 AM
I assume Cordia will win due to more talent, just unsure which part of that talent is eligible to play right now.
12-05-2013, 10:38 AM
Probably will be the same lineup used at the scrimmage at PCC vs. Thomas Nelson.....
12-05-2013, 11:53 AM
I may drive on down to Lotts Creek for this one
12-05-2013, 01:56 PM
Gonna go and see what the hype is all about. Ineligible players tsk tsk.
12-05-2013, 02:24 PM
if cordia goes with same lineup that was at pcc scrimmage then this will be a good one

Cordia 70 Buckhorn 60. Will Johnn Noble shock the Creek?
12-05-2013, 09:55 PM
Who won this game? It should have been a final score an hour ago.
12-05-2013, 10:00 PM
Cordia won but don't know the score.
12-05-2013, 10:06 PM
Heard cordia won by 4.
12-05-2013, 10:08 PM
What happened at this one?
My Facebook is blowing up about it.
Cordia won but there was evidently some sort of ruckus.
Again...
I wasn't there.
I'm just asking

If Cordia only beat Buckhorn by 4 points at Lotts Creek they can stop the top 20 in the state talk, as well as a contender for the 14th region. And I believe Buckhorn has a very young team this year too.
12-05-2013, 10:31 PM
49-41 Cordia is what I seen on twitter. Not sure if that's accurate or not.
12-05-2013, 10:39 PM
Cordia wins by 4 and everyone played for Cordia besides Hines, Chapman and 1 other kid. Once again, even w/ all the players eligible you still have to coach them. Noble ain't no fool and was down 2 w/ 20 secs to go. Buckhorn stole the ball from Cunningham and went to the rim and the shot was goal tended 100% but was not called. Buckhorn had a good shot at winning this game. This game was at Cordia! Cordia's kids (not players) trashed Buckhorn's locker room after the game.

I heard things got ugly tonight

I want to get this out of the way, foul differential was 24 to 16 in Buckhorns favor. Most of the time the home team gets the better calls but I didn't see that in this game. I do give the credit to Buckhorn though because they went to the rim while Cordia shot way to many threes.
Now I had a VERY bad angle on the possible goal tend, I just couldn't tell so there is no reason for me to say anything about the call. Bad call or good cal Coach Noble flipped out and I felt like should have received a technical. Rhodes received a technical for arguing that a Buckhorn player pushed off, Noble was more out of line than what he was.
In the end anybody who has played ball or watches ball in the 14th knows how hard Buckhorn plays. They are a scrappy bunch that gives it everything they have in them and I loved watching them play. I give them all the credit for being in it at the end.
Very sloppy game by Cordia, missed a lot of free throws and had too many turnovers. Would like to know the exact amount of each.

Cunningham was mugged at half court 100%. The refs let this game get way out of hand. When Cordia went up 44-28 the refs took over big time.24-16 fouls on your home court and 15 in the first half. Get out of here. Buckhorn stayed close cause the refs wanted them to. Not bitching at all. I'm just sayin if we only beat bhs by four because thays as good as Cordia is then shouldn't kcc wipe the floor with us? And I guarantee that doesn't happen.
12-05-2013, 10:52 PM
Not sure about players just know Buckhorn's visiting locker room was TRASHED when they got back after game. That sad to because Buckhorn's coach and players are some of the best kids ever. I'm not player bashing either! From what I understand it wasn't Cordia's player, it was the students!
12-05-2013, 10:55 PM
as a former student and player I am ashamed of those young students who did that if that is true, don't let the few get your opinion on how you see these kids because they are good kids. CORDIA players know Buckhorn have them one hell of a game and they respect them.

No disrespect but dang man, KHSAA let y'all openly recruit kids and now you want the refs in your back pocket too! Get out of here. Every game I've watched this year the fouls have been like that! Rule change has slowed the game and made really aggressive defense tuff to play w/out fouling.
12-05-2013, 11:00 PM
Cordias been cheated more than any team in America lolz
12-05-2013, 11:04 PM
KHSAA12 better b careful what you wish for because if Cordia lays an egg like they did tonight it might b one of those 50pt beat downs y'all got a couple years ago! KCC will b ready I'm sure and they are the best team in the region until someone beats them.
12-05-2013, 11:05 PM
Can anyone provide stats to the game? Also, how deep did Cordia go? Hats off to Buckhorn for battling and Cordia for getting a quality win at home.

Gets off the lions slong my brother. Pcc got 5 not all bball but 5. Hazard 3. Kcc 1. What's ur deal with chs. They had a rough game without their best player. The number two player on the state. Take Cameron from knott bb from pcc Holland from hazard and I promise u they will be worse. Your suppose to get calls at the house not at someone else's. Do you answer the phone at your neighbours ballstar? Didn't think so.

Why do you feel you should get any kind of special treatment at home?

Maybe you haven't read the rule book...
but there is a rule that says you get calls at home.
It's right in between where it says "let em' play" and "under 5 seconds you swallow your whistle"
12-05-2013, 11:20 PM
If I'm not mistaken one of Buckhorn's best players (if not THE best) isn't eligible yet.
12-05-2013, 11:23 PM
Come now, w/out your BEST player?? To hear y'all tell is Cunningham played tonight and he is the best PG in the state, you've got the #1 freshmen in America in the 7ft kid. You've got leading scorer from last year back in the 2n guard and several more. Man, I don't know what else you could want. I just Hines is the key to open the door to a state championship. W/ the kids Cordia has eligible and playing right now they should b 15/20 pts better than anyone n this region.
12-05-2013, 11:24 PM
I didn't say nothing about special treatment. All I said was most of the time the home team gets calls that the away team doesn't get. I see people on BGR all the time about how they hate playing at KCC cuz of the officiating and the same goes for all the home team calls that we all complain about. Nothing about special treatment was mentioned from me.
