I picked hazard to win region last year ekff.

As long as the 15 th region refs don't do the 14 th region then it's going to be hard for knott to win in my opinion. I went to a knott central game last year and I counted 11 free throws in the second half that justice got and didn't get touched. I'm not saying anything about justice because he is a great player and kid and he's just playing ball but the refs can take over a game easily. I was always told that players play, coaches coach, and referees decide who wins ball games.

Let me run this by you: Over 80% of the referees in the 14th region are located in the 53rd and 54th districts.
The 56th has 1 from Owsley, 1 from Powell, 0 from Lee, and 0 from Estill (after A.J. Davis quit). The 55th has about 8 from Wolfe and Breathitt combined.
All the power and control of referees has always rested in the 53rd or 54th. Right now it is centered in Knott County with Tommy Hall as the assigning secretary. Before that it was in Perry County for many years.
If you don't like the one referee from Owsley County then get Tommy to send you one of your boys in your back door. You've certainly got plenty to pick from. Don't blame the 56th District with our 2 officials. If it wasn't for Wolfe's 6 refs in the 55th there would hardly be any officials north of the Perry County line.
Why is this? From what I've been told most of them don't feel like they get a fair shake from the power center in the southern part of the region and they don't stay in the association very long. It's been that way for a long time, probably all the way back to the 1920's and 1930's in the infant days of organized high school sports. And it hasn't changed since.

The one official who is still officiating seems to always have the big home girls game for PCC and you know where his allegiance lies when he starts calling. The year Shelby Valley won the state, they suffered a loss a the hands of PCC at the Punkin Palace on a phantom call from an Owsley official(who may no longer officiate).

you honestly have no idea what your talking about. lee co does not have bad team chemistry at all! so get your facts straight and you should really change your name because your not a lee co fan.. at least not a loyal one.

That's funny! Its hard to get my facts anymore straight because I was told about the team chemistry issues from players on the team! Before you go talking about being loyal, you might want to go through my past 4 years worth of posts supporting Lee Co before you open you're mouth!
