It appears that a Winter Storm Watch has been issued for a large part of the state beginning early Friday Morning. Calling for potentially significant snow and ice event. Really gonna create havoc for those who have a long distance to travel. Don't look forward to a 31/2 to 4 hr drive from Harrison Co....:Sad04::Sad04:

I just posted how to find that info 64. It would appear that it won't start until around 3p fri in BG.

It's coming from the west. That means you could be there, take a picture of your team with their new silver trophy and take off and still beat the storm back to the burg.

Hope the teams have spent some time practicing with slippery balls some this season. Belfry had live game experience with a wet ball against PCC but adding ice to the mix makes it a whole new ball game. Looks like things will start to get messy around the time the 3A game starts. Hope everyone plays a safe game.

I agree with PirateFan. I hope these kids dont have to decide the state championship in miserable weather. But, I guess thats part of football. Good luck to all teams.

It's part of the game. They should be prepared for by now.

Watching the radar and local news and the I71 corridor is where we see the freezing rain and sleet.

Head due south down I75 to Lexington to get into warmer temps and just rain. Then travel to BG from Lexington. BG is now in a dry pocket and for now all precip looks like it's going to be rain for the morning game.

Drive safely and travel mercies to all!

It is part of the game. But weather, just like injuries, does impact game results.

So does heat. So does long distance travel. So does turf versus grass. So does staying up too late or getting up too early. All of these things, including ice and snow you can prepare for.

For those that do not know, highlands never calls off school. Probably only called off 2-3 days total in last 10 years. This does not look good for those making the drive to BG.

They do not leave until Saturday, so your statement makes no sense.

Some of the worst road conditions I have seen in many many years. Absolutely terrible weather. Be careful if you are heading far west today.
