13th Region Preview
It will be an interesting year for Corbin but Tony P will put the pieces together. I think Williamsburg will end up being the team to beat in the 50th though. They will struggle at first but once the football players come back and get their legs under them they will be a good team. They can't afford any injuries though.
I heard Pineville and Harlan County played close Monday night. I'm not sure what the score was. I watched Bell last night play Lynn Camp and win pretty good. Fun to watch.
Knox Central played really well in this game. They seemed to move the ball really well against Harlan Ind. and played very good team ball. They had a scrimmage on Tuesday night and played Madison Central and was ahead most of the game until the last quarter and started playing me ball and didn't look anything like the team that played Harlan Ind. I hate to say it because its early in the season but if they don't learn to play team ball in all games they will not make it far in the Region.
How did the Pineville and Harlan Co scrimmage go?

I heard that there was a ton of fouls called and the scrimmage was really close.
Ton of fouls called in every game i have seen so far
I hope they are not trying to call it like NCAA, they had a hard enough time as it was. I have been to a couple NAIA games and they are calling same as last year it looked to me.
Harlan Co. jumped out to a 13-0 lead. After that the officials took over. The third quarter saw the teams combine for 28 free throws.
Harlan County won by one from my count. Harlan County got off to a good start and Pineville played real well the second and third quarters.

I never have put any stock in preseason scrimmages. A pretty successful coach who we both know jokingly told me he thought his record in preseason scrimmages was about 6-40.
Thats good I like to see and hear about games being played close, not a fan of blowouts
Tonight most teams get started. I'm interested to see how good Corbin, North, and South will be. None of them are ranked in the top 5, but they are good programs and aren't going to lay down.
