Heisman Watch: 2013
#1
Regular season is over, which means the Heisman talk is gonna heat up. Who do you think will win the Heisman?

Jameis Winston - Florida State
good: his Seminoles are undefeated, he's thrown for 3,490 yards and 35 TDs
bad: he's got some off-field issues, FSU is known for their defense

Andre Williams - Boston College
good: 2102 rush yards and 17 TDs
bad: got hurt last week, lost to Syracuse, plays at Boston College

Johnny Manziel - Texas A&M
good: 3732 pass yards and 41 total TDs, won Heisman last year
bad: is playing worse than last year, 13 INTs, bad off-season

AJ McCarron - Alabama
good: 2676 pass yards and 26 TDs, Alabama, is a really good guy (if you haven't heard his story, you need to)
bad: they lost last week

Jordan Lynch - Northern Illinois
good: 2457 pass yards, 1755 rush yards, 42 total TDs, his team is undefeated
bad: he plays for Northern Illinois, he plays in the MAC, nobody cares about his team and conference

I know he's dealing with off the field issues, but IMO Jameis Winston deserves it the most.

If not him, I'm hoping Jordan Lynch.

Jameis is very likely to win it, simply because, those who leave him off the ballot due to the ongoing investigation will be canceled out. Anyone who puts him on the ballot will put him at #1, face it, if you are going to put him on the ballot, he deserves to be #1. Those that don't will have so many different #1's, because there is no clear-cut second option, that it will spread out the #1 votes enough for Jameis to be able to take a hit of individuals leaving him off the ballot.

If the SAO issues a statement saying they are not going to bring forth charges by the deadline, Jameis wins in a landslide.

If they do press charges before then, hes done.

I think what Lynch at NIU has done is remarkable, but not good enough to move past Winston.

Winston will probably win it...

However, I wish they would just do away with the Heisman. Every year it is either a QB or RB that wins it. Yeah last year Te'O was in the mix and Charles Woodson won it (he played some offense that year) but I just hate seeing the same positions in the running. IMO, it should be split for Offense and Defense.
