Ballboy you are crazy if you think you can hold Collins to 13. The O is a machine that is clicking. You have to out score them to beat them.

No way Collins scores 13, and I'm not sure if Owensboro can score 21. Collins has been playing very good defense as well.

Collins. Cause in my opinion they are the only team that can hang with FT Highlands. Lex Cath will give them heck in the other semi's, but FTH is just a machine as well.

Hopefully Collins wins this game so we can see if they really can hang with Highlands. This team is certainly much better than last year's, especially defensively, but Highlands is a very, very good team.
In order to get a rematch with Highlands, Collins has to beat Owensboro first (Highlands obviously has to beat Lex Cath too). I don't know a whole lot about Owensboro, other than from looking on the KHSAA website, they seem to be fairly one dimensional on offense. That doesn't bode well for them against a tough Collins defense. I also saw they gave up 2,222 passing yards against Bowling Green. Let's hope they do that again Friday night. nicker:

No way they hang with Highlands, a very good chance it will be a running clock. Lex CATH may hang around for a half. Highlands played toughest game of playoffs on Friday.

Collins has one of the most talented teams in the state, FT will have all they want if they beat Owenboro, it will not be a running clock...not at all.

I think Collins has proven on the the field that they can be just as good if not better than those teams. Covington Catholic is a good team but they could not get it done twice against Fth. Based on schedule and results there is reason to believe that Collins could give them as good a game if not better than CC. I am not sure how u can crown CC as second best at this point in 4A - must be based on gut feeling because it's not based on what has happened on the field.

I can care less about HHS at this time. I have said it for about 2 months now that there is one game that scares the heck out of me and that is Owensboro. You are going to have a cold night, playing a very athletic team that has not been to the semis for a few years AND the game is being played at Rash Stadium that is notorius for getting all the calls going to the home team. I still think Collins pulls this one off but they will not if all attention is being thrown at a rematch with HHS.

If Bryan Station, John Hardin, Paducah Tighlman, Warren Central, and Covington Catholic can hang with Highlands, I don't know why Collins can't keep it respectable. But we can worry about that next week if both teams win.

Those teams had the luck of not having to go against a bunch of starters on Highlands defense (their were no starting DB's, Safty, or Best LB in the WC game), I do not believe Lex Cath or Collins will be so lucky.
I did not see any teams the likes of Highlands or Moller on Collins schedule. Once again Highlands drilled Collins last year and just do not see that big of an improvement this year to make it a close game.

As long as others (Colllins fans) continue to bring up Highlands on this thread, I will continue to discuss it, that is what bulegrassrivals is all about. If you do not like what I say or am talking about do not respond, but some of us might want to talk about it.

Hate to tell you that he is a Lex Cath guy and not collins guy.

cov cath getting beat 45-7 by moeller ...42-6 by Highlands and then again 28-13 with what u said to be a 3 TD lead with possible running clock does not warrant ur claim that CC deserves to be 2nd best in 4A. I am not sure why u keep mentioning last year...but okay, what does Owensboro, Collins or LC have to do this year to prove they are at least 2nd best in 4a?

They have to prove they are competative with Highlands, which they did not last year and Collins has not showed a schedule this year that shows they can beat a top team. Toughest game was probably SK (0ff the top of my head without looking at your schedule again), who beat you and would be a 21 pt underdog to Highlands. SK (a 6A team), played a 2A-4A schedule and when they finally played a good 6A team and were sent home.
Hope the championship game is a close battle, nobody likes the long drive to BG to watch an hour long running clock game, I just do not think it is going to be a good game though. I will be the first on here to admit I was wrong if it turns out to be a good, competative game.

This is not about Highlands ...this is about U claiming Cov Catholic was automatically 2nd best ...pls answer my question ..what does Owensboro, Collins or LC have to do ...be specific...to show they are better than CC?

It is not just me, in fact there was a article in the paper this week or last week, (I will go back and find it so you can read it) where Highlands coach himself proclaimed Cov Cath the second best team in 4A and that Fridays game was going to claim the state title. He went on to list the number of years that this games winner went on to win state and the numbers are huge.
