Sorry, you found it hilarious. Considering it's going both ways, and it is between the players and not alum. I find it hilarious as well.
I stand corrected and my apologies to alfus....I can guarantee you Belfry's coaches have not uttered the words Wayne County or PT.

Ive seen both times live this year. Bourbon Co. several times and Belfry twice. There is no question that Bourbon is the favorite. Way too much speed and size for the Pirates this year. Belfry is good but this years Bourbon team is head and shoulders about the young Pirates. Im going to be conservative in a prediction but it could get real ugly for the Pirates.
Bourbon Co. 34
Belfry 21
This is a best case scenario for the Pirates, play a good game and limit their turnovers and they stay within 7-14 points. Put the ball on the ground, miss tackles and have stupid penalties and its a running clock by the 3rd Quarter. Believe me, Bourbon is THAT GOOD this year!!! The good news is that Belfry wont have to make the long trip to BG this year and come back with another runner up trophy.

Anyway hears of a video stream of the game please post.I know PikeTV would have don this game, but Belfry has told them they do not want their games to be streamed.

Seating will be a very big issue on Friday. The visitors stands are tiny. They're trying to bring some more in but it won't make much of a difference. MANY people on both sides will be standing on the track Friday night.
Parking will be ok, but not great. I'd say they'll have people parking across Lexington Rd. at WalMart if I had to guess.

Sheww!! This thread is EXHAUSTING!!! Let's see if I can summarize what I've learned about this Friday's game from reading this...
1. Bourbon County has 2 fast players. (OK, there are 9 other players out there with them isn't there? Or does this team solely compete with only those 2?)
2. Bourbon's team is not the same team as last years. (Unless there were no seniors last year or there were seniors who didn't graduate, that is pretty much a given)
3. Belfry is a "mediocre" team. (Give me a minute to stop laughing on that one!)
4. Belfry better not fumble the ball. (HALLELUJAH!!!)
5. Bourbon County will not have enough seating for the Pirate Fans (Seats or not, we'll still be there)
6. Buckslover might have to announce out in the cold. (Dress warmly!)
7. Football Junky might or might not have the nerve to ask for Whitey at the game (I really hope he has the nerve and that I'm there to see the reaction on his face)
8. It really irks people that there are some kids from WV that transferred to Belfry (IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL OR MIDDLE SCHOOL...sorry, it's life, get over it)
9. People think that Belfry is the team that has something to prove in this game (Although I don't recall Bourbon County getting to State in the past few years...umm, nope that would be Belfry and Central, albeit we didn't win, we were in the game, where was Bourbon County?)
10. That neither side really wants to give either team much credit. (Typical)
Yep, that about summarizes this thread

I like #10 the best, but this thread has been entertaining if nothing else for both sides.
Seems like these two have hated each other for years.

Wishing my Belfry Faithful, a pleasant journey to Boco. Bring another 'W' back to the
mountains!!! Be safe and bring a chair; might want to take over the South side end-
zone... The North end is where the Boco players enter the field (from the visitor side).
It gets kind-a-hectic on that end right before the game, half-time and end of game.

Have a feeling this will be standing room only.
Very glad I get to make the trip up for this one. Think it will be a classic!
There are 2 temporary stands in one endzone and I believe they are bringing in more for Friday night.

Growing up nearby, I always thought of Bourbon County - with its majestic stone fences and Stoner Creek flowing through picturesque countryside - as a laid back, civilized place where the landed gentry sipped sweet tea. Gentlemen, I have been proved wrong. Looks like a street fight to me.

Hey Crossbones I would if I knew how lol...smh.... It wasn't anything bad...it was from a Coach Vincent and had a pic of the scoreboard from last year and "I remember" and it had a pic from BG with Belfry warming up...He also said that there were rumblings about the Belfry fans outnumbering the BOCO fans and to not let that happen.

I can think of two stud RB's who have come up against a Belfry team and not liked what they got. Ace Wales in the State Title in 2011 and Hopkins from Bourbon last year. Neither "elite" back was a factor in either game. The difference is that Central was good enough to win without Wales while Bourbon was not without Hopkins. Holman is just giving the Pirates a little more reason to hit him just a little bit harder.
By the time all the trash talking is done this week these players are going to have a genuine dislike for one another. Game could get a bit chippy if Bourbon can't stay composed. The Pirates won't normally start on field scrapes but they will finish them.

Yea, nothing wrong with that. Heck, I would show them a picture of the scoreboard too. This whole thread seems like dejavu. LOL.. It's pretty much identical to last years thread.

I've thought the very same thing...I fully expect a better BOCO team, but last year I expected the Patriots to get off the bus...I remember the thread saying something like...there are 4 or 5 other players more athletic than Hopkins...I was scared to death .... Then the game began and I was like....we're good, and we were.

What I take away more is how quickly Sani, JJ and Carr where retweeting a message to kill the trash talk and do their talking on the field. Thats what you expect from your Seniors and team leaders.

Let's leave Twitter out of this. I'm sure Coach Haywood & Hodge has gotten ahold of some of the CRAP spewed on their yesterday (from both sides, triggered by a tweet about punishing & destroying us that wasn't disrespectful but definitely going to make any player mad) and stopped it. Some Bourbon faithful are posting "redneck" pictures on their making fun of us but I know they don't reflect that entire fan base. I just look at people who make fun of us for being "country" or "redneck" as overgrown Pikeville's!

OMG people..All this Twitter Trash is for Twidiots! Personally, I don't think "rattling the chain" is a smart thing to do. I do recall the beginning of the year and the Harlan/Belfry thread and the term "King of the Mountains" being tossed around that didn't help Harlan much (no offense Granny )
Just a little thing to throw out there....this group of seniors have been to the big dance for the past 3 years. Some getting to actually experience a lot of playing time in the state game for 2 of those years. I think, by having that opportunity, that they are disciplined enough to maintain their composure, not overlook anyone, be able to handle pressure, stay focused, and play Belfry ball.
On the other hand, if we are to believe the statements posted on Twitter, it seems that Bourbon County might try to push a little and be trying too hard too soon which usually causes some mental mistakes and breakdowns.
I don't know, just an observation and opinion (for what it's worth)
