Another note I wanted to make, as much love as Keaton Taylor gets for being one of the best playmakers I've seen at Belfry from the WR position, this kid has absolutely demolished several defenders on crack blocks this year and that says a lot about a kid as skinny as he is but man he lays some licks... not really something that's hard to be good at but I sure do love watching him do it!

I just want Keaton to squeeze the pigskin from here on out. No more drops. He has been a huge weapon, but should have about 4-5 more TD's on his season total.

Both sides of the ball is better with hatfield out there. But with that being said if we have a lead no need to chance him getting hurt running the ball. He means that much to our defense.

I agree completely. Hatfield is a difference maker on both sides. And I think he may very well "reappear" if Beflry advances to semi's. IMO....he brings a different mentality to the defense.

Your best bet for Keaton is hope he just doesn't think about it. Athletics come natural to him, he doesn't need to think. He's that good. Great kid, great baseball player too, just thinks sometimes.

I think we will see him in a bit of the Josh Dixon role.

Dixon's main duty was to be a defensive superstar two years ago.. but when Belfry needed that spark on offense and the chance to single handily make the defense change their gameplan Dixon would come in on offense for a series.

Even if he only gets 6-7 carries per game and only sees 10-12 snaps on offense that still requires the opposing team to spend a substantial amount of practice and game planning just to be ready for his particular skill set because he and Carr are wo different kinds of backs.

Belfry wins big pc not on this level pirates seek a state title and get it this year but next year I do not see them back in bg for at least 2015 I personally think we should be celebrating a third state title Instead of trying to get this one but things happen tho good luck pirates our time is ending on pond creek gonna miss our seniors bad thanks for the memories since midget league there will never be a group as talented as u guys and it will show when u all r gone

I love trolling Belfry, but honestly I think they will win the title in 3A this year. This just seems to be an all-around good year for Belfry given everything that's going on. Unless Belfry loses, I'm going to find another large fanbase to troll...

This is not a true belfry fan...this is a parent that only cheers for his son and blames everybody else but his son....now JJ has shown big improvements with his toughness this year and is a great kid and athlete, but many will tell you if X Willis didn't have a season ending injury he was turning into our best HB...now he will fill in very well at that for the next two years...We will miss Carr's ability more than anything next year because of his speed and power...but Belfry is loaded with talent all the way back to the 6th grade...any team in the state would love to have a backfield that consist of Austin Hatfield, X Willis and Keaton Taylor...and you throw in a Andrew Fletcher...and we got some young lineman that is gonna be leading the way for these young men...but yes these seniors are talented but we are gonna be in Bowling Green for years to come.....

Saying good-bye to the Seniors is always difficult to do. Some years are harder than others; I doubt I will ever miss a Senior class any more than I will miss HC's Senior class this year. I'm sure it's the same from Belfry and across the Commonwealth.

That said, the future looks bright for Belfry, IMO. After all, the middle school won the state championship this year, and the great coaching they received in middle school will now be carried on with Haywood!!

Not on turf...

If Belfry was the old school wishbone team playing on the mud of Vipperman Stadium then it would favor them.. but with as finesse oriented as Belfry's offense is playing on a turf field I say there is probably no difference this game.

The only advantage I could see is that Belfry is the more physical team and the grind of their linemen and big hits in a cold, wet matchup could have some sort of mental toll if Belfry were to jump out to a lead.

Any time seeing Sundy Best is a good time. I hope someone can, I would but my phone isn't waterproof. I'm hoping for a real positive performance defensively more than anything, of course that should result in a W but I'll sleep better the next week (God willing, two weeks) if our D is playing well.
