I'm glad they do live for this season. However, neither SK or Dixie will win state this season.

You under estimate SK's diversity on offense. That's a 6a state title offense.
Kuntz is an excellent QB and even against a stout Male/X Defense should get you a decent amount of yards thru the air.
Powell is a great back and can be relied on if the air game is shut down.

Scott County with out Scott Daniel could be torched by SK's Offense, Scott County outscores there oppenents forcing them to pass more than there used to forcing turnovers. Trinity & Manual I do not see making it to the finals.

I agree Dixie should be the favorite going into next year but SK's Varsity, JV, and Freshman class went 25-2. This year's senior class was 3-5 as freshman. Jeff and his staff have done a great job at developing players with there off season programs. I think the future of NKY 6A looks good with a lot of talent coming up.

While I always say, NKY has the best football in the state, that is a very generalized term for all the teams. As a group, there is no better football in the state. However, as good as SK is, they will not beat the best team in 6A. They wouldn't beat the top 5 teams in 6A, bowling green or HHS. I would venture to say they will lose by 2+ tds to whomever they see in the 6A title game. Hence the 11-0 record and #9 ranking in the state. Says it all right there.

Good choice Granny, your knowledge of football continues to impress.

IF the Pioneers win I would have no problem honoring SK for 2 weeks and would root for them in the continued journey. Unbeknownst to many I have very good friends with kids at SK, which would take the sting out of a loss as well, but you didn't hear that from me :yawn:.

Because Dixie is going to WIN and each time I see ukfan post each day for the next 2 weeks I'm going to chuckle like a kid on Christmas. nicker:

Hope you all have enjoyed the banter this week. Thank you on behalf of both teams for the injury free sentiment. I pray for an injury free outcome as well. This will be a great knock down, slobber-knocking battle amongst many of NKY top athletes. Line play, turnovers, and Dixies ability to establish the run will dictate the outcome as it does in all games. If SK forces Dixie to have to pass they win.
