We will find out soon enough. The point I was making is they can rack up points quick also.

If the passing teams can't control the run they better hope their passing game is on target or they may be digging out of the hole all night.

I was told by some CCH fans that Sam Dressman will not be playing, he is a big loss.

I've heard the same thing. If true, it is indeed a big, big loss for CovCath as Sam is their most talented all around athlete and play maker. I feel for the kid because injuries throughout his high school career have really prevented him from achieving all that he otherwise could have achieved.

Apparently nobody will be playing. Fine by us. Built in excuse for losing. But I don't really care. Winners don't need excuses.

"Winners don't need excuses". To whom are you referring? Certainly not Johnson Central. They haven't won squat.

Well, If we had a Pipe Line of Kids from Ohio who Couldn't Win... I Was Listening to Dale Muellers Talk Show The Other Day and He Said He May Have To Go Back To Ohio To Save The Players Parents and Family/Friends On Gas Money! ... Kinda Funny That Cov Cath Wouldn't Even Play Highlands j.v. Game So What's The Deal? This is one of the most well balanced JC teams I have ever seen. You can key on one kid, but with this team, the ball will be in the end zone or on a break away down the sideline. Just like friday night against Harrison County. The ref blew the play dead because he thoulght the ball was handed off to the full back, but instead was en route for a TD by the second guy through. If that had happened in a close ball game (CCH or FTH), it would have been all out WAR.

Having watched JC a multiple number of times over the last several years, I can certainly believe that occurred. Actually, I'm really surprised it doesn't happen more frequently. It is extremely hard to find the ball. Particularly when JC wears their dark jerseys. The JC RBs have always done an exceptional job with the play fakes. Bottom line: defenders have to do their assignments regardless of whether they think their assignments have the ball or not.

Funny thing. None of the people making "excuses" are CovCath fans, just Highlands people stating facts about a rival decimated with injuries. This CovCath team has never been able to show what they may have had because of those injuries, but they've managed to survive to this point in the season with a 9-2 record against a fairly tough schedule. I think most of us thought that 4A was going to come down to Johnsonville and Ft. Mitchell :eyeroll: from the opening kick of the season, but also that CovCath would have a say in things. Things haven't worked out as hoped for them, but I don't think that anyone expects them to roll over for JC. I fully expect Highlands and JC to still be playing next Friday, but knowing what I know about CovCath, I wouldn't bet my 401k on it. Truth be told, if I had the four hour drive in me, this is the game I'd pay to see on Friday.

This will be a very interesting game. I watched the cov cath and Beechwood game and honestly don't think think Cov can stop centrals offense. If Central can defend the pass then jc rolls by a respectable margin. Jc 35 cov cath 24

Thats a knock on Rowan not Cov. Cath. When a team scores 67 with the new running clock rules AND the opponent dominates the time of possesion, it means they scored quick and often.

The Colonels scored 41. The Vikings put together some long, clock eating drives.

All I got to say is Johnson Central fans your not playing Boyd County,Ashland,Greenup ECT this is a different animal they played better competion and dont be looking ahead to Highlands. This will be a good game 6 points either way this will be the best team you faced all year and its not like I said Boyd, Perry,Ashland, Greenup ECT you gave up 20+ last week of the season against Belfry. So dont get too confident yet.
