Is it just me or does everybody find som of the Bourbon fans obnoxious?

I'm pretty sure their district opponents do. I understand they haven't been very good until the past couple of years. I guess they just don't handle prosperity very well since they haven't experienced it very often.

Lol...and I will be cheering for Mason from Bourbon County this Friday.

I think if you ask anyone involved directly with the team they will tell you hat Russell will be a tough task ahead. They have a solid team with a great history.

What's obnoxious? I said Russell will be a tough game, and should keep it close (not a running clock) but that Bourbon will win.

I'm pretty sure I'm the only Bourbon fan on this site so you had to be referring to me ....

I think that he was referring to the game attendance and not to you as a

I think he was referring to game attendance as well. And yes I agree completely. They are better people than you...just ask them. They act as if going to Owingsville, Stanton, Irvine, and Lancaster is beneath them. They will going to 4A after next season. Best of luck to them in the Highlands world......

I have a lot of respect for coach Scenters and the Garrard fans. Just the way they do things and carry themselves. I'm not above some friendly trash talk. I do it all the time. But I don't get that sense from the Bourbon Co base.

I don't hate. I have just lost all respect for the program. Winning doesn't
grant respect!!! Respect is earned on how you conduct yourself in winning
and loosing!!!! Belfry kicked are butt in 2010 and went on to State and
during that game they earned the respect of myself and the entire Garrard
community.... Belfry is a Class act!!! Bourbon is NOT!!!

This is Garrard's 50th year playing High School Football with only 4 loosing
seasons. Yes, we won our first Regional Title in 2010, but I don't know to
many programs that can boast 46 years of winning seasons. Confused

Honestly if it is I don't know. I've heard that rumor. But I've heard that rumor before.

All I do know that there is a bunch of young talent coming up. The future looks bright.

80% of all statistics are made up .. and that is one of them.

Since 1998 you have had 7 maybe more (I lost count) losing seasons. Either that or someone forgot to tell the KHSAA. :biglmao:

Bourbon fans are no worse or better than some of the mountain teams posting for their teams. Fans are passionate for their teams, this site is what that's for. As long as the post aren't over the top, then it's no biggie. I have read hundreds of posts on hear from everyone, and I haven't seen any that were that obnoxious. No more than any other team

I will eat some major crow on this..... 9 losing seasons since KHSAA started
doing stats in '98; only 7 winning season's since '98. I was misinformed and
will accept the plate of crow graciously.... Do I still get a shirt?

If that's the case, Bourbon will have a field day.... Probably running clock
by third quarter.....

Bourbon countys players and Coaching Staff all Have class I have never seen any class less acts from this Bourbon team. And I havent missed a game the past 3 to 4 years. jw4914 idk what you seen but couldnt have been from a Bourbon kid!

If Pope is still out, Russell has a little bit better chafe at keeping things respectable. But even still, Holman, Hill, and Johnson are all good backs, especially Holman. Cox has Done a good job managing the offense, atleast thats how it seems on paper. Recently having a 200 yd and 120 yard passig performances, another good sign for your back up, especially in HS, is taking care of the ball and making good decisions. With the running game Bourbon Co has, they will more than likely take a page out of McGlones book once they get ahead and grind it out. Im pulling for Russell, but thy are still a ear away from making noise and 2 years away from contetion in their class.

Russell keeps this game closer than many think though atleast for a half.

Mason just surrendered 39 points to a less than average Powell Co. team. I am projecting a shootout!
