And you cant say anything about the refs because they are assigned from khsaa and its how they see the games.

You are right, nothing wrong with making tackles at the feet & legs, it was the way they were double tackling and throwing their bodies at their legs & ankles that was dirty, I don't know that kids would do that just naturally trying to make a clean tackle, I never saw kids do that before. You ought to get ahold of some film from the game & then you would see what I am talking about. All of the injuries NL suffered last night were to the legs - ankles, and the kids had NOT been hurt all season in some pretty tuff games. The Refs might as well have not been there for all the good they were, they were clueless. They allowed that #23 to stomp NL's #10 right in the back, he had to walk over to him to do it and the Ref standing right there watching. I hope the officials watch that film of that in particular. That showed up good on my wife's home film, just what happened! No crying and whining here, just thought PC would have been a classier team than they were! Wanted Pulaski to know what to watch out for too!

I suggest you get the film someway of the game & see just what took place! If you can be impartial, which I doubt from the sound of your remarks you can!

Blair got drilled two plays in a row. Ask him, if he still is hearing the ringing.
You people from London got your butts handed to you on a silver platter.
Accept defeat. Perry didn't even play good and still handed you your hindends.

No he didn't....he got his ankle broke on about the 5th play of the game that is when he came out! He is the tuffest kid I ever saw play the game in this area - but a broke bone is a broke bone, you aren't going to do anything on that! Like someone said, you were playing NL's JV team for the most part except for Nelson after the half. You all will see who gets their hindends handed to them next week end!

HG_Bullfrogs Wrote:Nelson barely played a half and was at about 50% he had 2 interceptions and one fumble NL other funnels and interceptions were from backup quarterback.
8 total turnovers to 0 of PCC.
None of the fumbles were related to PCC though they were all center quarterback exchanges.
Blair broke his ankle the first drive of game along with 4 other two way starters. PCC basically played NL jv team.
Blair was getting 10 yards a pop before he got hurt after s few plays.

Well let me rephrase then...

North Laurel's QBs had 4 picks and 3 fumbles.

I must have missed the other fumble.

I counted 7 TOs in all.

Either way - They couldn't hold onto the ball.

Grandstand Wrote:I hope Pulaski hands it to PC next week! Not just the Blair kid got hurt, (which no other team had hurt him all season), another key player was hurt on the same play as Blair, who was sent on to UK, then 2 more key players on up in the game hurt and sidelined for the rest of the game. PC was the dirtiest team I ever saw play football, they were going for NL's feet & legs every play & they were connecting. Also a #23 on PC's team stomoped #10 on NL right in the back, & then taunted NL's crowd after he did it, because he got away with it. NL's crowd went wild over it because it was the tempo of the whole game - nothing called - they were trying to hurt them. I thought they were doing this during the game and it showed that was exactly what was happening on the home film we watched when we got back home. NL had more injuries in one game than they had all season. I hope an official watches that film, who can do something about this poor sportsmanship & these dirty rotten tactics but I am sure they will just look the other way! Yup, football is a tuff sport, but shouldn't be played dirty - trying to hurt the other team like PC did last night - kids get hurt enough playing a clean game. I've got a feeling it will come back to bite them! Forward ho' Pulaski, you know now how it will be played, dirty! :devilflam

by "stomoped" did you mean shoved?
Because Brewer got heated and shoved the kid in the back while he was on the ground after the play.

It was also in retaliation to the kid laying on top of him after the whistle was blown. And BOTH kids got warnings after the play, so you're using the term "got away with it" out of context. It didn't change anything on the field directly after that play, but a warning is a reprimand through-and-through. It could lead to an ejection later in the game.

One of these days...
One of these days...

I'm going to spend the week looking on here and seeing Perry Central be predicted to lose a football game...
Perry Central is going to go into the game and pull another upset...
Then I'm going to log on here the next day and see the opposing fans congratulating the Commodores for putting in another week of hard work on the field and in the film room and simply concede that Perry Central was the better team on that Friday night.

But today is not that day.
For once again, we have to deal with people making there excuses and saying "just thought PC would have been a classier team than they were".

The most classless thing I saw last night was when a few deputies had to take a trip up to the press box to talk to a few North Laurel coaches who were getting into it with a host of Commodore fans.
I didn't want to bring up this incident on here, simply because it's shameful that it had to come to that, but since we're talking about "class" I figured I'd go ahead and throw it out there.

Like I said, get you some film of the game & watch it & then we'll talk! If you can be objective, if you are just die hard fans out for a big hurrah....don't bother!! Not like NL coaches to start a rumble with fans, unless they were provoked - I had not heard about that incident yet, but sure I will at some point.....after the way the officials were letting the game get out of hand, (not calling anything) enough to frustrate anyone! At least they weren't out on the field taunting the PC crowd like their #23 was doing!

I don't have to watch anything.
It will look the same way on a tv screen as it looked in the freezing cold last night from the stands.
You're the one on here raising hell about the refs getting out of control and declaring war on the classiness of the Perry Central defense. I doubt you're as objective as you think you are.

I'll tell you all about the event with the fans, they were jawing back and forth with them all night and then when you guys stopped Perry on 4th down when it was a one score game one of them yelled "You don't throw on Tucker Sharp. Nobody throws on Tucker Sharp. That's what happens when you throw on Tucker Sharp". Then some parents took offense to it because the kid that went up against Tucker Sharp (which got up higher than him and got his hands on the ball, just couldn't pull it in) got hurt on the play.

I don't think the coach was calling out the kid that got hurt. I doubt he even knew that the kid was injured at that point. But that's what happens when you write big checks with your mouth, you find people that are willing to make you cash them.

North Laurel was a good team, though.
If they play close next week I'm going to try to go catch a game...

oh wait, that big loss last night was in the playoffs.
I'll have to wait another year before I can watch a group as classy as that.
#42
North Laurel still hasnt won a playoff game I dont believe

0-forever.
#43
Official throws a flag and turns on the mic "Personal foul against the defense, he tackled him at the legs."

Perry next week at Pulaski please remember to arm tackle up high.

Ive had Perry a few times this year, they are in no way anywhere close to my top 35 dirtiest teams. You had homer goggles on last night and tears in your eyes to think anything that happened other then a good football game played by both teams. Turnovers, not Perry beat NL. Please dont say Perry beat you JV team. That makes it sound like you think one or two kids makes your football team. That running back cant run without a line. QB cant throw without receivers. Its a team sport.

Apparently just what I thought, that is how lies circulate! Made a couple of calls to find out about this whopper. One of the coach's in the press box for NL is a law enforcement official himself, the other the defensive coordinator....who got excited over a play when the kid didn't catch the ball down close in the end zone - he DID NOT see the kid was hurt - they DID not go up there to arrest anyone, like you indicated! It was pointed out to me NL had two players down on the field & PC's coach was screaming on the sidelines......so...that is OK, but getting excited in the press box isn't?? Come on... :please:

this was a great high school game i was there.it breaks my heart to see kids get hurt like what happen in this game .but its football and its a tough sport.there was nothing dirty on both ends just accidents both teams lost major player.nl has a ton of talent good luck next year.pcc is firing on all eight cylinders and who no how fare it take them good luck and bring home a championship pcc

Number 1. Don't call me a liar.

Number 2. You can clearly read in my post that I said the law went to go talk to the coaches. I NEVER indicated anyone got arrested.

Number 3. 0-forever

Number 4. The Perry Central coach was "coaching" on the sidelines with a couple of players down. The North Laurel coaches were being loud jerks like they were all night and it finally caught up to them. There's a difference in screaming loudly to your kids on the sidelines and screaming loudly a few feet from a bunch of crazy rednecks.

Number 5. 0-forever

Blaming freak accidents on a bunch of kids is classless IMO.

No one from Perry is on here crying about the kid with the broken arm. I think hes a basketball player too. Hurting a PCC basketball player is more punishable then murder I hear.
#53
Good to see some life back in the Perry threads.

They used to be so great and they've not been anything to write home about the last couple of years.

Grandstand is doing a great job keeping this up.

And as for everyone else...

*Which indicates since deputies went to the press box it was for a reason!

*You have one opinion I have entirely another about the game. The NL coaching staff absolutely was NOT jerks on the sideline, we watched them closer than you were to them all night! And, you can hold screaming loudly to your team when the other team has kids down on the field, that is what I was referring to! I'd watch who I was calling a Jerk!

Pulaski County is my home county, so I'll be at that game rooting them on!
See ya' in the funny papers!

Yeah...well, I'm outta here! I've griped enough about so many NL kids getting hurt in one game, everyone seems to be of the opinion it's OK, it's just football! I had just watched them play all season, without these type of injuries, seemed odd to me, still does. I have nothing left to say, so I'll just say so long, it's been real! :HitWall:

You mean until next yr? Move on to the basketball section. Some fans still have a reason to look at the football section.
