Congrats to North Oldham.

When the Doss defense went one way, North Oldham's Arien Beasley went the other.
Beasley, a junior running back for the Mustangs, rushed for 233 yards and three touchdowns on 11 carries to lead his team to a 49-12 rout of Doss in the opening round of the Class 4-A playoffs Friday night.
"Our fakes and our traps were really working well tonight," Beasley said. "They (Doss) were really overpursuing hard, and when we went one way they crashed down hard and it left us a lot of open running lanes."
Beasley scored on runs of 31, 61 and 62 yards as the Mustangs turned three Doss turnovers into scores. In addition to forcing the turnovers, the North Oldham defense limited a potent Doss offense to just 54 yards rushing and 110 yards passing, 49 of which came on a late scoring play after the game was decided.
"I thought our defense was just lights out tonight," North Oldham coach Billy Martin said. "We never saw this coming. We watched Doss just manhandle Central earlier this year and were just hoping we could manufacture enough points against them to win."
While the North Oldham defense was holding Doss in check, the Mustangs unleashed a powerful running game to control the clock and the game. In addition to Beasley's big night, North Oldham saw Quentin Shea rush for 66 yards on 10 carries and fullback Kevin Graham go for a pair of touchdowns and 36 yards on five carries.
Shea got the Mustangs rolling in the first quarter with a 24-yard gain to the Doss 6-yard line on a fourth-and-11 play. Graham took it over behind right tackle on the next play to give North a 7-0 lead with 2:31 left in the quarter.
The game's first big momentum shift came on the ensuing kickoff when Doss' Elijah Gardner took the kick 76 yards back for a score only to see the play called back on a penalty.
Doss quarterback William Maddox fumbled the ball on the next play with North's Nick Thome recovering at the Doss 33. Four plays later, on fourth-and-two, Beasley broke free for a 31-yard run to put the Mustangs up 14-0.
Doss managed to cut the margin early in the second quarter. After Maddox found Derrick Short down the right sideline with a 34-yard pass, the Dragons caught a break with a pass interference call. Tailback Keyonte Parris took it over from the 9 on the next play.
But 14-6 would be as close as the Dragons got as North got two more scores. It took the Mustangs just two plays to respond when Beasley took a pitch around the right side 61 yards for a score.
Maddox was intercepted on the next series and North quarterback Keenan Dowd found Shea on a 30-yard scoring pass to give the Mustangs a 28-6 halftime lead. North Oldham scored on its first three possessions of the second half to put the game out of reach.
