Lot of injuries on both sides. Nelson threw 3 picks and they had lots of fumbles. Perry played good defense. Shut down the jaguars!

Nelson is good but the Blair boy is what made that team go. No surprise if he got hurt and they struggled. Everything was built around him and Nelson

Awesome job Commodores. Keep on rolling, Pulaski is very
beatable. Great game Toomanator!!!! Heck of a team effort.

Perry has to pass the ball and keep up the D to beat the Maroons next week, Pulaski is beatable but it will be a tall task at Pulaski.
11-08-2013, 10:54 PM
I know people from Lee County don't had a lot of faith.
I believe Perry can beat Pulaski. Neither Pulaski or Madison
Southern are world killers by know means. Will be a tall task at Pulaski but it can
be done. Very impressed by Nelson's speed. Kid can fly.

In all seriousness here. I know that you're gonna root for your team and think that they have a chance but, who in their right mind is going to say that an undefeated team(only undefeated team in 5A), playing at home, averaging 45 points per game is "very beatable"?!

Maybe because eight of those 11 won't be playing next week.

Why will 8 be out?? Surely they didn't lose that many to injuries?!

Well Pulaski hasn't really beaten anyone have they? Have
the beat Highlands, Bowling Green, Trinity, Boyle, Johnson Central, or anyone else?
NO. Perry has played Corbin, Johnson Central, Tate's Creek, Harlan County. Perry
has played some better competition. Yes Pulaski is the favorite
but I'd never bet against Justin Haddix, this time at Pulaski will
be different. Even if Pulaski wins, Harlan County will sink their ship the
next weekend.

Did Bowling Green lose last night?

Having seen both teams play, no way does Perry Central go on the road and beat Pulaski next week. The best they can hope for is to keep it reasonably respectable (20 points or less). Forget this who have they played crap, Pulaski is really good, especially on the offensive side of the ball. The regional championship game between them and Harlan Co. (who will beat Madison Southern Friday) could be one for the ages. Like the guy said it's fine to back your team, which I am going to do now by saying if Blair and our best offensive tackle hadn't gotten hurt on the fifth play of the game, we win last night going away. Nelson was no more than 50%, and he nearly led a comeback, but we turned it over too many times and didn't deserve to win. But it we had, even healthy, we would have gotten spanked at PC this week. Trust me, they are good.

I hope Pulaski hands it to PC next week! Not just the Blair kid got hurt, (which no other team had hurt him all season), another key player was hurt on the same play as Blair, who was sent on to UK, then 2 more key players on up in the game hurt and sidelined for the rest of the game. PC was the dirtiest team I ever saw play football, they were going for NL's feet & legs every play & they were connecting. Also a #23 on PC's team stomoped #10 on NL right in the back, & then taunted NL's crowd after he did it, because he got away with it. NL's crowd went wild over it because it was the tempo of the whole game - nothing called - they were trying to hurt them. I thought they were doing this during the game and it showed that was exactly what was happening on the home film we watched when we got back home. NL had more injuries in one game than they had all season. I hope an official watches that film, who can do something about this poor sportsmanship & these dirty rotten tactics but I am sure they will just look the other way! Yup, football is a tuff sport, but shouldn't be played dirty - trying to hurt the other team like PC did last night - kids get hurt enough playing a clean game. I've got a feeling it will come back to bite them! Forward ho' Pulaski, you know now how it will be played, dirty! :devilflam

I was very impressed with Jake McFadden #10 RB from NL. That kid has great vision for a RB and is a very hard nosed runner. His running and the OL blocking was the main reason NL made this a game the 2nd half. He had a very calm demeanor and didn't get involved with all of the extra curricular activities of the night. Looking forward to seeing him play next year.

First of all, putting Johnson Central in the same category as those other teams is absurd! Second of all, what good does it do to play those teams and brag about it when you got blown out by all of them?! Perry Central lost those games by an average of 35 points! Anyways, this will be my last comment in this thread as we have turned it into the Pulaski/Perry Central thread instead of North Laurel/Perry Central.

I by no means intended it to be a knock at Pulaski. Just can't overlook BG. I expect Pulaski to come out of the region and if it wasn't for BG, Pulaski has the talent to play for a state championship.

Great kid, great player! Those NL kids have a lot of class -whole team! NL will be pretty darn good next year a lot of us think, with him to build around from what we have seen out of the JV and Frosh teams this year! NL has a LOT of Sophomores that were key players & played a lot this year: Messer, another Nelson coming on, a mountain of a kid named Gilpin, 2 Sharp boys, Riley, Mcwhorter, Sherman, Collier - plus they have that GREAT 8th grade team coming up, that will be Freshmen next year they will be OK!

There is nothing dirty with making tackles and the feet and legs.. That is just a bunch of crying and wining..Some of the other things state I wasn't there so I cant comment on it.. And you cant say anything about the refs because they are assigned from khsaa and its how they see the games.

Nelson barely played a half and was at about 50% he had 2 interceptions and one fumble NL other funnels and interceptions were from backup quarterback.
8 total turnovers to 0 of PCC.
None of the fumbles were related to PCC though they were all center quarterback exchanges.
Blair broke his ankle the first drive of game along with 4 other two way starters. PCC basically played NL jv team.
Blair was getting 10 yards a pop before he got hurt after s few plays.

If Perry wins its either they played dirty or the Refs flaged them to death Just looking for excuses!!!!!
