Belfry 56 Pike Central 34
#31
Funny all these Belfry fans act like the 3 straight Turnovers for the Hawks in the 3 quarter giving Belfry a very short field all three times didn't have anything to do with the game lmao. PC shot themselves in the foot at the wrong time of the game. Also yes Belfry showed no class at the end calling a TO to get an extra score on the final tally to make it look better for the newspaper readers.

Now aren't you the pot calling the kettle black! I can remember a few years back PC leaving starters in an entire game to be a team by around 60 points. Until you have some class, try not to discuss it!:dontthink

The least class Hatfield has ever showed as a coach

I get to use my favorite saying around this time every year. Here's to you Hawks, "This year wasn't your year AGAIN and better luck next year"!! Probably won't see you again this year but if we do I'll get to use my favorite saying twice this year. Oh joy!!

Lay off him guys, remember he is a sportsguru. Maybe football isn't his sport of expertise.

Wow it would take a bunch of knuckleheads for me to have to explain this to I called him Hatfield because of the Hatfield and McCoy's . I know its Haywood. Its an inside thing for us Pike Co folk not the folk who border WV that call Pike Co home

What ever makes you sleep better at night. Confusednicker: WVa is only 3 min. away. How long does it take for your players to drive from Breathitt County? :biglmao:

They may not win next week, but an early exit is not gonna happen. Too much talent to lose early. This team is not a defensive juggernaut by any means but as a team they haven't played their best ball yet. They will roll to the semis and then let the chips fall. They definitely have their liabilities but they are still odds on favorites to get to BG....who is gonna beat them is my question?

True... it is an inside joke amongst the cooperative community of Pike Central/Perry Central/Breathitt County/Powell County/Mingo County (don't forget PC has had a few players from WV of their own). They thought of the clever "Hatfield" nickname up during one of their Mountain Parkway caravans.

Let's face it... if anyone knows how to give a dissertation on transfers at the HS level (and subsequently the pitfalls that come with them) it is the Pike Central crew.

It's like this guy's...here is why BELFRY is better, 3 scores better on bad night's to PC AND .LC.....if you are up by three scores and can't finish you suck....we allowed PC in this game....And we fumble 5 times and beat PC by 3 scores.....LC fumbled 5 times and loses to PC....and PC had the refs clearly on their side...and yes if we play like we did the last two weeks JC will kill us...why because they are good enough to close it out..PC and .LC are not...

Early exit its Jackson county, probably .LC..then Probably PC...that spells Regional game easy...

At this point of the season I wouldn't place Belfry as the odds on favorite to represent the east in Bowling Green. I'd give the nod to Bourbon Co. at this point. They seem to have less issues than do the Pirates, which could be a product of their weak schedule but I see that matchup as a toss up.

If, if, if , if,....... a lot of those will be used and i am no different...IF Belfry wouldnt have fumbled, the first half would have been far more interesting....IF Belfry would have played defense in the 1st half like they did in the 2nd, PC would have been beaten a lot worse.....IF Belfry would have continued playing the 2nd half like the 1st, PC fans would still be celebrating and burning couches on Buckleys Creek... Nevertheless, The first half was scary for us Belfry fans, and exciting for the PC fans but when Belfry came out after halftime, and made those big plays, the momentum shifted and Belfry started to play football... Haywood made a decision to start pressuring the QB and it paid off.... It was like he was running for his life.....Now dont let all these IF's get to some of you..after all, all sports are filled with them.... CONGRATS PIRATES....

congrats to belfry.

Presuming Bourbon gets Pope back... who is on a different level than Justice IMHO... then I think Bourbon beats Belfry by 2-3 TD's based on how they have played the past two weeks.

Congrats Pirates!!!!!!

Congrats to the Pirates on a messy scary win tonight! Second half had the fans truly rally behind the Pirates and become the 12th man! A lot of mistakes by Belfry! PC was pumped and determined, good effort by the Hawks, who had their share of bad luck toward the end!
Nevertheless, proud to be a PIRATE!!! On to the next game!!!

Hey I would t have minded a few transfers that could help when I was a hawk, many moons ago. So really Pike Central hadn't started the recruiting til McCoy (Chapman) got here ....haha, McCoy

The irony is I think this could be the best team Chapman has had (especially next season when PC will be a very tough team) and this is the first one that isn't depending heavily on transfers.

This group of skill players is definitely clicking the best and have the most balance IMHO and Justice has really developed a lot. Defensively they need a lot of help.
