#1
We need to lift up Chris Cook, former Boyle County football stalwart, in prayer after suffering severe head trauma last night in a car accident. This news was provided by Jack Lambert.

Please keep Chris, his family, friends, and the hospital staff caring for Chris in prayer. I've asked Jack to keep us posted on Chris' status.

Thank you in advance bgr believers, never know when we will be praying for you and yours!

I just posted this prayer request on my FB. I remember this young man; what a horrible tragedy!
#3
Prayers to this young man and all involved. May God be with you all in your time of need.

Thanks for the heads-up. Prayera going up.

Not to highjack this thread but please also remember my family. My wife's grandmother (she calls her grammy) has had a series of falls and medical issues and so her and her dad went to Louisville to get her and bring her back to our home. We are going to observe and care for her for a week and evaluate what her future holds (stay at home, assisted living, nursing home, etc...). This is normally difficult but is complicated more that her grammy is fully mentally present so she will know it if we recommend her for medical care. Her mind is in far better shape than her body. Sad

I need a prayer too. I've hurt my back some how. I can't move, barley walk, can't bend over to pick something up, it even hurts to squat down to pick something up. It's not my kidney's because my urine is fine, I've either pulled a muscle or the bottom of my spine is crooked. It's the lower part of my back about dead center. So if you all would say a little prayer for ole SK. Much Appreciated.

Thanks!!

Prayers go out to you guys and your families, and the young man for a good recovery!

Prayers certainly from me to Chris Cook, LWC's Grammy (you can't highjack a prayer request thread Wink and SK's back. My husband has a problem, SK and sounds like the same area where your's is located. Good luck everyone!!!
#9
Prayers to all.

Update: We got her grammy down here and she is in better shape than she shoukd be for all the problems she has. We are going to ride out the week and if she stays this well-feeling we will recommend that she either has someone check in on her daily or get her into a VERY functional assisted living facility.

Thank you for your prayers and continued prayers.

I saw that!! Amazing!!

I don't think Jack Lambert, and possibly others, know that there is a thread dedicated to prayer requests. I just happened to see that request in the football forum. That's okay though; I think anywhere you choose to request prayer is the "correct" place!

Great news regarding Chris Cook. Jack Lambert reports he is being moved out of ICU and his doctors anticipate a full recovery once rehab is complete. He's out of the woods.

Please continue to lift him up during the healing and recovery process. Thank you bgr prayer family.

One of our football players lost his father this morning to cancer. Please remember Fred Massey today. He's a junior at HC, and has had issues that he has dealt with over the last several months. He's a wonderful kid, and I dearly love him!

One of our local churches is sponsoring a medical mission trip to Honduras. They landed this morning at 4 a.m. Please keep this group in your prayers.
#18
Praying for those church members. May God be with them on their journey.

My first cousin is leaving June 25th for Uganda (yes, I said Uganda), on another medical mission. He's totally committed to going, and I understand but still a little concerned. It's his first mission, and they needed a PharmD, so he volunteered. I'll be glad when this one is over!!!

If i were a doctor, straight out of med school and didnt have a family, i would want to do nothing but to go to poor countries and give free health care to patients.
I would imagine its a lot more fulfilling curing a sick starved baby from uganda that to treat a snotty nose kid, that isnt really sick here.

One of our Black Bear faithful has been bitten on the finger by a copperhead while ginsenging. Please remember him in you prayers today; he's in a lot of pain. He was flown to Holston Valley last evening.
#22
Lord lay your healing hands up on this man. Keep him safe and take away his pain. Amen!!
#23
Lord, please bless those in the BGR family with healing needs with your touch and your presence. I ask this in the name of Your Son.
#24
Please report with an update Granny when you learn more. Thank you

Just seen this GB. Prayers to this man.

He's still in the hospital, and the swelling has now entered his armpit and chest. He's had 22 vials of anti venom. The good news is that he's young and otherwise in perfect health. More when I hear.

^Prayers continue in Jesus' name!

Well, he's home and expected to make a full recovery! Thank you all for your kind words and prayers....that's what brought him home!

I saw pictures of his arm last night at the ballgame. Wow!!! The swelling is clear to his chest, and he had huge balls of swelling hanging from his under arm! Had this been a rattlesnake instead of a copperhead, it could have turned out much worse.

So thankful he's home and better!
#29
We really don't ever, never, need to see you, Granny Bear type about huge balls and swelling ever again.

Please, for the love of God Confusednicker:...
