Why do so many players decommit from UL

They have recently had 2 top players open their recruitment back up. It's not the first time this has happened. Something has to be going on in that program for this to happen over and over again. Thoughts?

Quintin left due to being stacked at the guard spot,, he saw the writing on the wall. As far as DaQuan Lyle,, I'm not really sure. However Lyle has played for 3 aau squads and 2 different high schools. He's known for bouncing around. Either way I LOVE it,, can't stand tardville.. All indications are Lyle and Cliff Alexander to Kansas. But Cal is getting the blame from tard fans,, lol..

I think they realized they were going to be role players and not a star, especially their first season. UL is stacked at the Guard position like somebody said in a previous post. As for Lyle, I told dad when he verbally committed that I wouldn't be surprised if he left. I have no reasoning to back that prediction up, just a gut feeling. He seems like a spoiled brat to say the least. When he dont get his way he leaves. I dont think he wanted to put in the work to play at UL. As for the card fans blaming Cal? How does that even make sense? They didnt go to UK did they? UL will still be just fine. Proved this year they dont need 5* recruits to win a national championship

It doesnt make any sense to me. Could he had something to do with it? Well heck everything is possible I guess. Ill gladly keep the type of players we have. Actually get to know and watch the kids grow as a player. id rather watch that any day. That doesnt mean I blame kids for leaving early, you cant blame them for taking the money.

Because they have a lot of "scumbags" in their ears. AAU coaches, agents, shoe dealers..etc. You get the picture. You think Cal would be getting all those one and dones without World Wide Wes?? It isn't his coaching. Think about it....why would you play for a coach who has had two final fours vacated...not to mention it took him twenty years to win the one championship he has now. I don't care if U of L ever gets a one and done. U of L doesn't have a history of cheating...and I don't trust those types anyway. They don't want to be there in the first place. Pitino has shown that NC's can be won the way they are supposed to be. With college players.

They decommit because Pitino is a scumbag. They figure out how much he has lied to them and decide anywhere is better than Louisville. Pitino is incapable of telling the truth. He spins everything.

Stacked at point guard? Why do these people think the Jones kid is going to be a savior? The kid won't be a tenth of what Peyton Siva was for Louisville.

I honestly am more excited about Rozier then i am Jones. But both will be around for a couple years though so another young guard coming in next season would have to work there way into the rotation.

Because when they get there and see half the city is blue and white they realize just how much of a little brother Louisville really is.

That is pretty dumb. But then...most UK fans are. You obviously don't spend much time in Louisville. It's not Ashland. Big sister can't hold a candle to Louisville although it's a nice big town. U of L has players who are student athletes who play for the name across the chest...and get degrees. It isn't about passing through. UK has had five straight number one recruiting classes and have one NC (not vacated yet) to show for it. Being an NBA developmental league that is disappointing. U of L didn't have a player drafted in the top 25 of the NBA draft in their final four runs. That's pretty good coaching. Cal doesn't have the ability to coach players up. For the record...and I am from eastern Kentucky..Louisville is a great city. Lexington is nice...but I don't even consider it a city. Just a big, big town.

Reason #2 - Pitino will be their coach.
Reason #3 - No matter how good they are, they always be "little brother".
Reason #4 - I wouldn't want Loserville fans cheering for me either.
Reason #5 - They know they will have to play KENTUCKY!!!

Lol, you're crazy man. I think Jones will actually be better than Siva, much better. Even if he's not, he'll be much better than you think. His decision making is the main reason I like him so much...he doesn't back down or get shaken at the end of a big game, which Siva has done quite a bit over his career. Pitino being able to have so much confidence in a PG will be critical for that team IMO, confidence that he struggled with putting into Siva many times, even last year.

But we won't know for sure if he'll be that guy until we see him play. But I'm confident he'll be one hell of a PG.

I've spent alot of time in Louisville. Made yearly trips to kosair children's hospital as a kid and even lived there for a while. I still stand by my statement.
