I don't believe Cordle does have it "locked up". He is the only one with varsity experience which makes him the favorite as of now, but he still makes mistakes that a younger player would make. Seeing how well Poplin, Tussey and Salisbury have improved and progressed I don't think that the other LB position is near "locked up." He isn't much of a physical prescence, and he needs to get his priorities straight from what I've heard.

aaron erwin, travis gallaher, brian salyers, and andrew dillon are some other options on the o-line

Heres how i think things will fair out.
Offense:
QB-Mahan
RB-Thomas,Hall,(Nethercutt),McCloud
FB-Davis,(Nethercutt),
WR-McDavid,Bonner,Burns,Duncan,Castle,Johnson
TE-R Bonner
The O-Line is so interchangable that its hard to predict, but the standouts are:
Walters,Snodgrass,Parsley,Cordle,Dillon,Rigsby,Dixon,and Renfroe.
Defense:
FS-Bonner,Burns
CB-McDavid,Thomas,Duncan,Sparks
M-Hall,(?)
R-King,(?)
LB-Davis,Cordle,Poplin,Salisbury
DL-Snodgrass,Salyers,(Bartram, Nethercutt, Castle), Parsley, Walters, Irwin.
Kicker-Freeman,Barrett

I know, and duncan will be a very good cantidate for that position too. He is very agressive and can lay the wood if he needs to.

Mahan for sure isn't locked up as the QB, he has some serious growing up to do. He needs to quit taking everything as a joke and get serious about this team and his role on it. This will be his 1st step in taking over as the Tomcats QB. QB is a leadership position, if you don't want to lead, you don't need to play QB. And Mahan is nowhere near a leadership position on this team.
I have no idea who will play Monster next season.Duncan definitely needs to gain weight to play Monster, he doesn't have enough weight on his frame to be able to take on a lead block. Hall gets injured too much, and if you can only finish 1 JV game in 2 years you might as well just be the ball boy. King has never played Monster and knows nothing about the position.

i think mahan has the ability to be a leader. he can and will take on the responsibility, and has good football knowledge. your right about the monster position tooiguh, its anyones.

no chance of them beating jc

Darrell has shown no leadership ability as long as i have seen him play. From what I've heard he goofs around during weights and takes nothing serious. If you don't lead your JV team, then how do you expect to lead your varsity team?

i don't think we will use a on the ball TE, they have one on the depth chart but they never use it. we will end up with the extra WR instead.
