Final from Berea!
Pulaski Co moves to 8-0 for the first time in school history!
21-10 at the end of the 1st quarter and this was a defensive struggle after that! Damien Harris scores on 52 yd TD and then a 2 point conversion with 2:10 left in the 4th Quarter. Pulaski recovers the onside kick and is able to run out the clock to end the game.

Harris with two long touchdowns but it sounds like Pulaski made him earn his yards the majority of the night.

Great win for the Maroons!

Pulaski is simply the better team
They controlled Harris and made him earn every yard. Madison Southern was called for one penalty for the entire game..
Glad the miscalled fumble on the yd line didn't come back to haunt Pulaski
Great game Maroons onto the next one...

I was worried about that all night! That was a horrendous call. Don't understand how you call a fumble on the 1 yard line when Smith had the ball and he was 2 yards into the end zone! Anyways, that is a mute point now and the Maroons move on to their best start in school history!

Congrats Pulaski. How good is Harris when he has 272 yards and Pulaski is happy with their ability to control him? He sounds like he is worth the price of admission.

Other than the 1st quarter and the one play in the 4th quarter, the Pulaski defense did a pretty good job of keeping him bottled up.

272 yards is bottled up? I don't think so. He needs some help!

That's not what I said but, considering that he averages nearly 6 TDs a game, I would say that holding him to 2 TDs would be considered bottled up in my book! He most definitely needs help because, he is the offense for Madison Southern.

272 and 2 tds ia career for most rbs. And for harris it's average. Dang that's how good the kid is. I know the game I saw, outside of Harris Southern didn't have much else offensively. Looks like that proved to be the case tonight. Congrats to PC.

Harris had two TD for 50+ yards. One in the 1st QTR and one at the 2 minute mark in the 4th qtr when Mad Sou was trailing 21-10 after a questionable play call by Pulaski on their own 20 yard line. Pulaski passed the ball leading to an interception when they clearly had control of the game with a 11 pt lead with a little over 2 minutes to go threatening to score.
Harris got banged up tonight, plain and simple. Stayed down several times tonight after a few tough hits. For as many carries as he got, he was definitely contained. I guess the yardage doesnt show for it, but, for those who witnessed the game it certainly seemed like Pulaski did a fine job stopping him when he needed to be stopped.
He's a tough kid who needs some help.. Can't continue to take hit after hit like he did tonight.

163 yards on 31 carries not counting the long touchdown runs. That is a good night in itself.

Makes a person wonder at what point he will start thinking more about his future at Michigan rather than his production and playing time at Madison Southern.

He took an absolute beating tonight and he does every night and it's only going to get worse when the playoffs start as well as next season. I just wonder at what point, if any, that he starts maybe sitting out games or taking fewer snaps in order to avoid injury in preparation for his career at Michigan.

If he is all they got...idk if the coach would do that. I've only seen him 1 time, and no one touched him. That was the whitley co game.

Does he get any blocking?

When he ran to the outside, he mostly created for himself and when it was a designed run between the tackles, a lot of the plays got blown up in the backfield by the Pulaski defense. He had to come out of the game several times because of it.

Pulaski defense play that good or Southern Line that bad?

Maybe it's my biased opinion but, I feel like it was Pulaski's defense that stepped up and played that good. I mean, like several have said, 272 yards may not sound like good defense but, they stepped up and made the necessary stops when they needed to.

I picked the spread right, just not the score.
I told you guys this wouldnt be a blowout.
I still fully believe PC is the region favorite with MS and HC following.
MS might be the most improved team in the state and PC is doing exactly what i predicted, winning.

Hats off to Pulaski...Gentlemen I came away very impressed with a few things and the first was the DEFENSE by both teams, those boys on both sides were laying the lumber. Pulaski was just stronger up front and certainly had team speed (which somebody mentioned in the earlier post). Damien I think didn't disappoint. He took two shots at the end of the 2nd quarter that left him stunned for a bit (all were perfect legal hits). Pulaski did have fumble call that they got screwed on, but I was very proud of how Madison Southern's defense played with a few good 3rd down stops in the 3rd quarter. I do not like loses but I think this game will help Southern from the stand point of understanding they need a little more from the offense other than Damien. IMO, Southern does not attempt to throw the ball to Damien or use him in a screen game and they are limited to toss right, toss left, and up the middle. I would like to see him in the slot and moved around a little more to open the field for him.
Pulaski is a very good team and I like their team. That is one of the most well conditioned teams I have seen out of Pulaski, just a bunch of stout quick kids. As expected even though I predicted a Madison Southern win Damien did not disappoint, and Pulaski is a team that can win the region. Madison Southern will be dangerous in the playoffs and hopefully we may meet again. Congrats Maroons...GO EAGLES!!!

Southern's kids were as strong, but they did not have the foot quickness I thought.

Talking to people at the game tthis morning said PC pretty much ran at will and the score was closer then the game. Said score should of been 35-10 really. Also, pc pretty much dominated the lines of scrimmage and if not for harris Southern had nothing. Outside of Harris they had 15 yards rushing give or take.

Congrats Maroons, outstanding season so far!
