Who you got in this one? Fairview keeps finding ways to win and Paintsville has had there best season since 2006. Paintsville also give Pikeville all they wanted and more.

Fairview finds another way to win.
Eagles 42
Tigers 21

Fairview is plain awful on defense so I'm going with the Tigers in an upset.
Paintsville 42
Fairview 41
Paintsville 42
Fairview 41

Fairview by 7.

I think this will be closer than most people think, but Fairview still wins.

Though I predicted Fairview by 3 TDs, Paintsville does have the ability to shake things up. If they can beat Raceland or Fairview or atleast make 4 quarter games out of the match ups, this district may become the toughest in 1A definitely in the east. They do however, have the ability to catch a younger Fairview team looking ahead to the Raceland game. McPeek has his kids "used to winning" though. I dont see that happening.

If the big back is back for Paintsville, they win by 2 touchdowns. If he is not it will be close but Fairview will win.

Fairview-42
Paintsville-20
Too much speed for Paintsville and game is at Fairview. Paintsville has had a great turn around this season and their Coach should be up for some awards for Coach of Year?

Even if Kash Daniels is back, I just cant see Fairview losing to them at home. If Daniels is back I would change it to a 1 or 2 td win for Fairview. Our district champ this year will certainly have to earn it. Its been a long time sonce our districthas had more than 1 or 2 contenders.

As long as Fairview doesn't overlook Paintsville or look ahead to Raceland, then they should win by a couple TD's.
10-05-2013, 11:59 AM
Does anyone know the status of Daniels?

This will be a tough game for Paintsville!!! But I say Paintsville by 6.

Thats a bold statement 64. On what grounds do u say Paintsville is the best team in the district?
10-05-2013, 01:18 PM
Paintsville has a chance and I think they may shake some things up but I don't know if it will be regular season or playoffs but I expect them to do something.
10-05-2013, 01:25 PM
I'd love to see Paintsville pull this upset, but I don't see it happening.
Fairview 35
Paintsville 21
Fairview 35
Paintsville 21

I predict a blowout. Paintsville has been playing good and they have surprised a lot of people but I think McPeak will have his team prepared and Paintsville won't surprise Fairview like they did with Pikeville. Fairview 48 Paintsville 13

You guys are missing something. Fairview is now without King. I listened to the Hazard game The Eagles were on their own field for that one. They could not stop Hazard's run game. Hazard stopped it themselves in 2nd half for whatever reason. Hazard played Pikeville pretty well also. Paintsville ran all over Pikeville until their back went out. This to me could spell SERIOUS problems for the Eagles. If it weren't for King, the Eagles would have lost by 2 or more scores to the Dogs.

No reason other than they are a mt.team. :truestory:

Paintsville is more of a Hill Top team. Not really a mountain team like their rt 23 bigger brother Pikeville. I dont think Paintsville will have Daniels. With that said, I stand by my original Fairview 3 td win.

Fairview - More
Paintsville - Not Enough
After seeing Paintsville play & Fairview scrimmage JC..... I think Fairview's depth will be the factor in this game. Paintsville does have some nice athletes, but they don't have the numbers that Fairview does.

What is the condition of Kash Daniels? I'm gonna going to say Paintsville gives them all they can handle and a little more.

King is a loss on D , but on O we still have Dolen , Brown , & Yetts .to me any of those 3 are better than King on O . As far as the Hazard game no they didnt just stop the run themself . You forget we had DE , DLs susp for the 1st half of that game that has a HUGE loss for Fairview . In the 2nd half when they were back , & FHS made D alignment changes especially on the line Hazard couldnt move the ball at all by running it , but god forbid anybody give FHS or McPeek any credit whatsoever . Its obvisous you didnt see that game or probably any game FHS has played this yr:ChairHit:

Talon, credit has to be earned. So far that hasn't happened. They have played slightly above average big school teams and just survived. That does not spell fear.
Now back on point. What I heard on the radio that night, Hazard did not even try to run the ball in the second half but may 3-5 times at all. You cannot abandon the run game like that. Even if you don't gain a yard each time, you have to poke and poke until something opens up or you get the defense thinking run and then your passing game will not be so heavily defended.
If Hazard had done just one thing, it's a simple one thing, they would have won that game. That is, quit kicking off deep to King. King ran at least one back for a touchdown and ran another 2 or 3 back to deep, deep inside Hazard's own side of the field. All of those led to scores. Most notably just before the half was over. Now, I don't think I am slighting your team, because I just mentioned what you guys did good in that game. The King kid showed out. Someone should have taken that kid and bought him the biggest serving of ice cream that he wanted that night after the game, he played his guts out. (The ice cream thing is a baseball coaching thing I use to reward players, if that sounds funny.)
I really think that you are underestimating what I am saying. McPeek may be as good a coach as you all think over there. I cannot speak to that. I can speak to the fact that Hazard has a real good coach there. I think if you guys don't clear your mind and accept what I am saying here, you will get surprised by them the next time you see them. That is because, if you make it to the semis, you will see them.

Fairview in a blowout. Seen both teams play and Fairview should take this one rather easily if they come out to play.

Who really cares u don't see Fairview play and your right they aren't as good as last year but they have played great schedule. They have won 27 straight regular season games give credit for that because that's unreal. Anyhow get your facts right before you post king wasnt a huge factor in the hazard game kurtlen brown was on the returns. Without king against a good pike co central team they had 575 yards rushing according to paper. Let it play out east is wide open.
