If I'm not mistaken, doesn't Huffman only pitch? I odn't remember him playing any other position other than pitcher. I could be mistaken though. Pikeville has excellent pitching and offense is what hurt Allen Central in a lot of ballgames, mainly in the games when the opposing teams had really good pitchers...Paintsville/LeMaster, Johnson Central/Montgomery, Sheldon Clark/Horn. That is something I look for Coach Johnson to focus on this off-season. But regardless of the talent Pikeville lost, Coach Lawson is by far the region's best and will have Pikeville contending yet again. I wouldn't be suprised to see these two teams meet in the Championship game of the All 'A' for the second straight year, with this year being much closer, if not a completely different outcome.

That may be Chase's little brother Luke Huffman that he has in the LF spot SK though I'm not sure.

As far as Pikeville and Allen Central both teams will contend for the region title this year. Pikeville will be rebuilding this year but they still have the pitching to be a serious contender in the region and Allen Central returns a lot of talent so they will be there also.

He had surgery up in Cinciannti back in September. They found a portion of the bone in his throwing arm had been eaten away by some type of "disease" (but nothing too serious is what I heard). If I'm not mistaken he went back to Ohio last week for a follow-up, and he was released to play. The doctor said he was still able to pitch and whatever else he was needed for. I wish him luck and hope he returns to full strength by March.
